✨ Land and Legal Notices
May 22] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE 631
Section 10, comprising 393 acres, varies from level to slightly
undulating land containing areas of swamp to easy foothills of
flat-topped spurs. Soil is of good quality on the lower country
and fair elsewhere. Considerable drainage will be necessary to
develop this area.
Section 13, 259 acres, comprises flat-topped spurs partly over-
grown by boxwood, scrub, and gorse, and low-lying flat land of
good quality; swampy in parts but all capable of development.
Both areas should respond well to treatment. Suitable for
mixed farming.
Discharged servicemen have preference over all other appli-
cants.
Rental for a discharged serviceman eligible to receive con-
cessions is at 2 per cent. per annum for the rental value of £1,200
for the first year, and 3 per cent. per annum for thirty-two years,
thereafter at 4 per cent. per annum.
If a discharged serviceman selector transfers (with consent)
to a person other than a discharged serviceman eligible to receive
concessions, the rent-concession rates cease and revert to “civilian”
rates.
Any further information may be obtained from the under-
signed.
W. T. SPELMAN,
Commissioner of Crown Lands.
