NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work--namely, workers' dwellings, Webb Street and Torrens Terrace, in the City of Wellington--and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council at the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and are there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 13th day of May, 1947, cancelled the registry of Loyal Onslow Branch, No. 14, of The Grand United Order of Oddfellows Friendly Society of New Zealand (Register No. 373/14), held at Ngaio, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £83,000, authorized to be raised by the One Tree Hill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for streets construction, the said One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixpence halfpenny (6½d.) in the pound (on the basis of the annual value) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of One Tree Hill; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off."
