(in Voluntary Liquidation).

THE liquidator of J. Bayley and Sons of New Zealand, Limited,
which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the
31st day of May, 1947, as the day on or before which the creditors
of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish
any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act,
or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before
such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to
such distribution.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in it by the Christchurch
District Drainage Amendment Act, 1922, the Christchurch
Drainage Board at a meeting held on the 22nd day of April, 1947,
hereby resolves that the boundary of the said Special Area herein-
before described and defined shall be further altered so as to include
in the said Special Area all those areas more particularly described
in the Schedules hereto, and further resolves that the said areas
shall form part of and be included in the Subdivision B of the said
Special Area, and that the boundaries of the said Subdivision B
shall be altered accordingly so as to include all those areas more
particularly described in the Schedules hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land in the Canterbury Land District, bounded
by a line commencing at a point on the Special Area boundary,
such point being the north-eastern corner of Lot 3, Deposit Plan
No. 6496; thence easterly to the north-western corner of Lot 1,
Deposit Plan No. 13157; thence north-easterly and easterly along
the south-eastern and southern sides of Cresswell Avenue to the
north-eastern corner of the said Lot 1, Deposit Plan No. 13157; thence
southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundary of
the said Lot 1, Deposit Plan No. 13157, to the eastern side of Birchfield
Avenue; thence continuing westerly across Birchfield Avenue to
a point on the Special Area boundary in line with the southern
boundary of Lot 1, Deposit Plan No. 13157; thence northerly
along the Special Area boundary to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land in the Canterbury Land District, bounded
by a line commencing at a point on the Special Area boundary on
the north-eastern side of Linwood Avenue, such point being the
western corner of Lot 1 on Deposit Plan No. 12815; thence
south-easterly along the north-eastern side of Linwood Avenue to
the southern corner of Lot 2, Deposit Plan No. 12815; thence
north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, Deposit
Plan No. 12815; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern
boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, Deposit Plan No. 12815, to the Special
Area boundary; thence south-westerly along the Special Area
boundary to the point of commencement.

UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the
Public Works Act, 1928, and the Physical Welfare and
Recreation Act, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Upper Hutt Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts
and all amendments thereto respectively in that behalf it enabling,
to execute a certain public work—namely, the acquisition and
formation of a recreational area in the Borough of Upper Hutt
for the use of the residents of the said borough—and for the purposes
of such public works the land described in the Schedule hereto are
required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a
plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the Public
Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situated in Main Road,
Upper Hutt, and is open to all persons for inspection (without fee)
during the ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such lands who have well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the
said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the
Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Main Road, Upper Hutt.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land situated in the Borough of Upper Hutt,
containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 7·9 perches, more or
less, being part of Section 128 in the Hutt District, and being
part of the land contained in certificate of title, Vol. 257, folio 93
(Wellington Registry).
