Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for a Further Portion
of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, Gisborne to Napier,
Gisborne-Waikokopu Section (28 m. to 31 m. 42·25 ch.)

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the twenty-sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 11 of the sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, at page 284, taking land for a further portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, Gisborne to Napier, Gisborne-Waikokopu Section (28 m. to 31 m. 42·25 ch.), in so far as it affects the piece of land described in the Schedule thereto as comprising an area of approximately 3 acres 2 roods 26 perches, being part Takararoa Block, D.P. 1759.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of May, 1947.

Defining the Middle-line of the Sockburn-Styx Railway

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the Sockburn-Styx Railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedules hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE

including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Canterbury Land District. As the same is delineated on the plans marked P.W.D. 125442 and 125443, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SECOND SCHEDULE
COMMENCING at a point on the existing Addington to Picton line of railway about 4 miles 59 chains north of Addington, in Block VII of the Christchurch Survey District, and marked T.P. 00, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 39 chains 50 links, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz.: Part Rural Section 279, part Rural Section 243, part Rural Section 243 again, Lot 1, D.P. 12366, being part Rural Section 243, and part Rural Section 1600, all in Block VII, Christchurch Survey District, and terminating at a point marked T.P. 7 miles 26 chains 25 links on the middle-line of railway as described in the First Schedule hereto; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Canterbury Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125443, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land:
1 rood.
Being Lot 221, D.P. 859, being part Kaihu 2d Block (Borough of Dargaville).
Situated in Block XIII, Maungaru Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 34521.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125360, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
