Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block VIII, Puketapu Survey District, and Blocks I and III, Tangoio Survey District—viz., a Deviation of the Gisborne-Napier via Hangaroa Main Highway (Whirinaki-Tangoio Deviation)

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road in Block VIII, Puketapu Survey District, and Blocks I and III, Tangoio Survey District—viz., a deviation of the Gisborne-Napier via Hangaroa Main Highway (Whirinaki-Tangoio Deviation)—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto, and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within a distance of five chains from the said middle-line.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point on the existing Gisborne-Napier via Hangaroa Main Highway opposite the southern boundary of Pakuratahi 1b Block, in Block VIII, Puketapu Survey District, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of about 1 mile 62 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Pakuratahi 1b 1, 1b 4, and 1c Blocks, Block VIII, Puketapu Survey District; Tangoio South 27o, 27a, and 27l Blocks, Block III, Tangoio Survey District; Section 6, Block I, Tangoio Survey District; Tangoio South 27m, 27j, and 1f Blocks, two Native road-lines, and Tangoio South No. 6 Block, Block III, Tangoio Survey District, and terminating at a point on the Gisborne-Napier via Hangaroa Main Highway opposite the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 4207, Block III, Tangoio Survey District; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Hawke’s Bay Land District. As the same is delineated on a plan marked P.W.D. 125240, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of May, 1947.
