Death of Member of House of Representatives for Electoral District of Avon
Office of Minister in Charge of Electoral Department,
Wellington, 18th April, 1947.
WHEREAS the House of Representatives is not now in session and there is no Speaker of the said House:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the provisions of the Electoral Act, 1927, His Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that the Honourable Daniel Giles Sullivan, Member of the House of Representatives for the Electoral District of Avon, died on the 8th day of April, 1947; and that the seat in the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District is vacant by reason of such death.

Whangarei Aerodrome
In the matter of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1935, and in the matter of the Whangarei Aerodrome in the North Auckland Land District.
THE Minister of Works, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1935, hereby gives notice that for the purposes of making the Whangarei Aerodrome safe for aviation purposes he prohibits the erection, placing, or extension without his consent of any building, pole, mast, or other structure of any kind, and the growing of trees or shrubs of any kind on the land described in the Schedule hereto beyond the level of the ground on the boundary of the said aerodrome nearest that portion of the said land upon which any building, pole, mast, or other structure is proposed to be erected, placed, or constructed, or upon which any tree or shrub is proposed to be grown or is allowed to grow increased in height by one-fortieth part of the distance measured on a horizontal plane between the said boundary and the said portion of the said land.
SCHEDULE
ALL those parcels of land containing together approximately 1 rood 12·6 perches, situated in the Onerahi Town District, being parts of Allotment 20, Town of Grahamtown, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 541, folio 5 (Auckland Registry), such land being shown by a red border on the plan marked P.W.D. 125248, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block II, Ahaura Survey District, for the Purposes of a State Forest
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a State forest: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Ahaura and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
