of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1946
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
Gadabouts Ltd., 410 Broadway, Newmarket, Auckland, has
applied for permission to establish a closing-room department in
Waihi.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
Gold Band Taxis, Ltd., 142 Tuam Street, Christchurch, has
applied for permission to shift three pumps used for the sale of
motor-spirit to a new position on the same premises to provide for
a double drive-through access.
South Suburban Transport Co. (by F. H. Haigh, Barrister and
Solicitor, P.O. Box 119, Auckland), has applied for a license to resell
motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed on proposed premises
at the junction of Great South Road and Baird’s Road, Papatoetoe.
J. Somerville (by L. E. Morgan, Barrister and Solicitor,
P.O. Box 12, Reefton), has applied for a license to resell motor-
spirit through one pump to be installed on premises near Mawheraiti
Railway-station in the Inangahua County.
C. Murray, Whangape, has applied for a license to resell motor-
spirit from one pump to be installed on proposed garage premises
at Whangape.
F. J. Sharp, corner of Windsor and Herbert Streets, North
Invercargill, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from
two pumps to be installed on service-station premises at the corner
of Windsor and Herbert Streets, North Invercargill.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than the 1st day of May, 1947,
submit any written evidence and representations they may desire
to tender. All communications should be addressed to the Acting-
Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Wanganui
IN accordance with the provisions of the Education Act, 1914, it
is hereby notified that for the election of a member to fill the
extraordinary vacancy in the West Ward of the Wanganui Education
District caused by the death of Mr. E. F. Hemingway, the result
of the poll held on the 26th day of March, 1947, was as follows:—
