Amending a Proclamation defining the Middle-line of a Road in Blocks V, VII, XI, and XII, Belmont Survey District—viz., a Deviation of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial Main Highway

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke so much of the Schedule to the Proclamation dated the ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63 of the eleventh day of the same month, at page 1264, defining the middle-line of a road in Blocks V, VII, XI, and XII, Belmont Survey District—viz., a deviation of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial Main Highway, as defines the middle-line of the said road between a point marked 0 miles on the plan marked P.W.D. 122329 referred to therein and a point on the said middle-line 3·6 chains north-east of the point marked 0 m. 50 chs. on the said plan, and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said portion of road shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits as defined on the plan marked P.W.D. 125120 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Commencing at a point on the existing Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial Main Highway opposite Lot 1, D.P. 7522, Block XI, Belmont Survey District, which point is marked 0 miles on plan P.W.D. 125120, hereinafter referred to, and being 5·6 chains south-east of the point marked 0 miles (plan P.W.D. 122329) on the middle-line of the highway deviation defined in a Proclamation dated the 9th day of October, 1945, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 63 of the 11th day of October, 1945, at page 1264; proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 55 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz.—part D.P. 3436, Lot 9, D.P. 3010, part D.P. 1278, Lot 1, D.P. 1278, Lots 10, 6, 7, and 11, D.P. 11059, Lot 6, D.P. 10616, parts Section 12, Porirua Registration District, Lots 18, 42, 39, and 38, D.P. 2037, Lots 7, 6, 5, 2, and 1, D.P. 7179, Railway land, Lot 1, D.P. 6880, and Section 17A, Paparangi Settlement, all in Block XII, Belmont Survey District, and terminating at a point in the said Section 17A, Paparangi Settlement, marked 0 m. 55 chs., being the point on the middle-line shown on plan P.W.D. 122329, 3·6 chains north-east of the point marked 0 m. 50 chs. on the said plan P.W.D. 122329, referred to in the said Proclamation published in New Zealand Gazette No. 63 of the 11th day of October, 1945; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and water-courses; all in the Wellington Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125120, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of April, 1947.

Leasehold Estate or Interest in Land taken for Defence Purposes in Block XIV, Kairanga Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from His Majesty the King by Ernest Greer, of Fitzherbert, Farmer, and Elizabeth Greer, his wife, as tenants in common in equal shares, under and by virtue of Memorandum of Lease No. 18216, Wellington Land Registry, is hereby taken for defence purposes.

SCHEDULE

Approximate area of the piece of land in respect of which the leasehold estate or interest is taken : 10 acres 2 roods 33·8 perches.

Being parts Rural Sections 9 and 10, Township of Fitzherbert.

Situated in Block XIV, Kairanga Survey District. (S.O. 20962.)

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 116330, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of April, 1947.

Land taken for Electric Works in Block II, Piopiotea West Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for electric works and shall vest in the King-country Electric-power Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
