The Eastern Side of Portions of an Unnamed Road, in the County of Taranaki, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of January, 1947 Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Taranaki County Council on the eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, viz.:-

"That the Taranaki County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the County of Taranaki, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the eastern side of the portion of the unnamed road fronting part Section 23A, Puketotara N.R. 3, Grey District, Block V, Paritutu Survey District, being all the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 71, folio 53, Taranaki Register";

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the eastern side of the portions of unnamed road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portions of road.

SCHEDULE The eastern side of all those portions of an unnamed road situated in the Taranaki Land District, County of Taranaki, fronting part Section 23A of the Puketotara Native Reserve shown on the public maps of the Grey District, the said land being more particularly shown by Deposited Plans Nos. 1950 and 2917. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 124398, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Vesting a Reserve in the Greymouth Borough Council B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of December, 1946 Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for cemetery purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Greymouth :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Greymouth, in trust, for cemetery purposes.

SCHEDULE WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT RESERVE 1860 (formerly closed road), Block XII, Greymouth Survey District: Area, 1 acre and 25.3 perches, more or less.

Appointing a Member of the Auckland Harbour Board

B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Harbours Act, 1923, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Peter McLennan

to be a member of the Auckland Harbour Board, as a representative of the electors of the boroughs of Newmarket, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, and Ellerslie, and the road districts of Mount Wellington and Panmure, in place of Edwin Vivian Sutherland, deceased.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 10th day of January, 1947.

29 Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces 1927.- Amendment No. 56

B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 25th day of May, 1927.

SCHEDULE

  1. THESE regulations may be cited as the Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces 1927, Amendment No. 56.

  2. These regulations shall be read together with and form part of the Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces 1927 (hereinafter called the principal regulations).

  3. These regulations shall come into force on the day following notification in the Gazette of the making hereof.

  4. Paragraph 1 of the principal regulations is hereby revoked, and the following substituted :-

" 1. The New Zealand Military Forces comprise- " (1) The following corps-

" Royal N.Z. Artillery. " N.Z. Armoured Corps. " N.Z. Engineers. " N.Z. Corps of Signals. " N.Z. Infantry Corps. " N.Z. Army Service Corps. " N.Z. Army Medical Corps. " N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps. " N.Z. Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. " N.Z. Army Dental Corps. " N.Z. Chaplains Department. " N.Z. Army Pay Corps. " N.Z. Army Legal Department. " N.Z. Army Nursing Service. " N.Z. Women's Army Auxiliary Corps. " N.Z. Cadet Corps.

" (2) The Generals' List and the Colonels' List. " (3) The Reserve. " (4) All the Military Forces raised on mobilization."

  1. Paragraph 2 of the principal regulations is hereby revoked, and the following substituted :-

" 2. The Permanent Forces consist of those officers and other ranks who are commissioned or attested for permanent service in the New Zealand Military Forces."

  1. Paragraph 3 of the principal regulations is hereby revoked, and the following substituted :-

" 3. The New Zealand Territorial Force consists of those officers and other ranks who are commissioned, attested, or enrolled for service in the New Zealand Military Forces in accordance with Part III of the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments."

  1. Paragraph 766 of the principal regulations is hereby revoked, and the following substituted :-

" 766. (a) The following is the order of precedence of corps in the New Zealand Military Forces :-

" (1) Royal N.Z. Artillery. " (2) N.Z. Armoured Corps. " (3) N.Z. Engineers. " (4) N.Z. Corps of Signals. " (5) N.Z. Infantry Corps. " (6) N.Z. Army Service Corps. " (7) N.Z. Army Medical Corps. " (8) N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps. " (9) N.Z. Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. " (10) N.Z. Army Dental Corps. " (11) N.Z. Chaplains Department. " (12) N.Z. Army Pay Corps. " (13) N.Z. Army Legal Department. " (14) N.Z. Army Nursing Service. " (15) N.Z. Women's Army Auxiliary Corps. " (16) N.Z. Cadet Corps."

" (b) Units of the same arm will take precedence among themselves according to the dates of their formation.

" (c) When a unit has been formed by the amalgamation of two or more units the reorganized unit will take precedence according to the oldest of the units composing it."

  1. All references to the following corps in the principal regulations are deleted therefrom :-

N.Z. Permanent Air Force. N.Z. Air Force.
