The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.-Notice of Intention to take Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 30th day of June, 1947, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 30th day of April, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

ALL those parcels of land containing by admeasurement two thousand five hundred and eighty-two (2,582) acres two (2) roods thirty-four decimal one (34.1) poles, more or less, being Sections 27, 33, 36, 37, 41, 42, 44, 45, 55, 56, 57, 62, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 72, and 73, and part Sections 29, 30, 31, 32, 34, 35, 53, 59, 60, 63, 71, and closed roads, and Lot 1, Deposited Plan 690, being part Section 40, Block III, Sections 71, 72, 73, 75, 76, 77, 78, part Section 74, part Lot 1, Deposited Plan 2851, being part Section 1, Lots 1, 2, and 3, Deposited Plan 3755, being part Sections 42 and 64, Block IV, Sections 69, 72, and 73, Block VI, Tuturau Survey District, being all the land contained in certificates of title, Vol. 1, folio 48, Vol. 5, folio 82, Vol. 36, folio 297, Vol. 37, folio 63, Vol. 37, folio 118, Vol. 37, folio 119, Vol. 38, folio 218, Vol. 45, folio 25, Vol. 45, folio 84, Vol. 49, folio 91, Vol. 49, folio 99, Vol. 59, folio 107, Vol. 76, folio 60, Vol. 92, folio 40, Vol. 119, folio 150, Vol. 152, folio 177, Vol. 154, folio 31, Vol. 154, folio 32, Vol. 160, folio 245, Vol. 124, folio 95, limited as to parcels, and Vol. 124, folio 126, limited as to parcels and title (Southland Registry).

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 17th day of February, 1948, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 30th day of April, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Blocks XII and XVI, Maungakawa Survey District, and Blocks VIII and XII, Wairere Survey District, containing approximately two hundred and ninety-eight (298) acres, being part of Lot 6, Deposited Plan 64, being part of Te Pae-o-Turawaru No. 2 Block, and being part of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 17, folio 20 (Auckland Registry), bounded as follows: Commencing at the westernmost corner of the aforesaid Lot 6, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction by the north-western boundary of the said Lot 6, 5560 links; thence in a south-easterly direction by the north-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Lot 6, approximately 5000 links; thence in a south-westerly direction by a right line, approximately 2500 links, to a drain; thence in a south-westerly direction generally by that drain and a stream, approximately 3000 links, to a public road; thence in a north-westerly direction generally by the north-eastern sides of the aforesaid road, approximately 7300 links, to the point of commencement. Also all that parcel of land situated in Blocks XII and XVI, Maungakawa Survey District, and Block XII, Wairere Survey District, containing approximately two hundred (200) acres, being part of Lot 7, Deposited Plan 64, being part of Te Pae-o-Turawaru No. 2 Block, and being part of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 789, folio 253 (Auckland Registry), bounded as follows: Commencing at the westernmost corner of the aforesaid Lot 7, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction by the north-western boundary of the said Lot 7, 4840 and 255.9 links; thence in a south-easterly direction generally by the south-western sides of a public road, approximately 5800 links; thence in a south-westerly direction generally by a fence, approximately 1200 links, and by a drain, approximately 3300 links, to the Piakoiti Stream; thence in a north-westerly direction generally by the aforesaid Piakoiti Stream, approximately 6000 links, to the point of commencement. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2963, deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925.-Notice of Proposed Cancellation of Registration
Department of Labour, Wellington, 2nd April, 1947. NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Wellington and Dunedin Felt Hatters' Industrial Union of Workers, registered No. 1891, situated at Dunedin, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.
