A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection one of section eight of the Housing Amendment Act, 1940, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land subject to the Housing Act, 1919, to be Crown land available for reservation under the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods 26-7 perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Riccarton, and being part Lot 1, D.P. 5888, being part Rural Section 95. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 30/228/3D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of April, 1947.

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same is hereby, set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-BOROUGH OF WAIHI
ALL that area containing 4 acres 1 rood 27 perches, being Subsection 2 and part Subsection 1, Ohinemuri No. 7 Block, Block XV, Ohinemuri Survey District, and being more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 30/228/61D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of April, 1947.

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.-Nelson CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Murchison County, containing by admeasurement 433 acres 0 roods 20 perches, more or less, being part of Section 1, Block 1, Rotoaroa Survey District, and bounded generally as follows : Towards the north by part of Section 2, Block XIII, Hope Survey District (permanent State forest-Gazette, 1940, page 1329); towards the north-east by the other part of Section 1, Block 1, Rotoaroa Survey District ; towards the south-east and south by Braeburn Road; and towards the west by Sections 4 and 10, Block 1, Rotoaroa Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 115/4, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of March, 1947.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.-WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Masterton County, containing by admeasurement 1,508 acres, more or less, being Section 2, Block III, Wainuioru Survey District (Poroporo Settlement). As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 94/2, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of March, 1947.

Amending a Proclamation reserving Lands under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the twenty-fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of that month, certain lands in the North Auckland, Auckland, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Wellington, Nelson, Marlborough, Westland, and Southland Land Districts were permanently reserved for scenic purposes :
And whereas an error was made in the description of the land in the North Auckland Land District in the Schedule to the said Proclamation, and it is expedient that the error should be rectified:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby amend the said Proclamation by omitting from the said Schedule thereto the words “Section 4, Block XVI, Hukerenui Survey District: Area, 203 acres 3 roods 16 perches, more or less,” and substituting therefor the words “Section 4, Block XVI, Hukerenui Survey District: Area, 158 acres, more or less.”
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of April, 1947.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Kaitangata Coal Company, Limited, a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act, 1933, having its registered office at Dunedin '(hereinafter referred to as the licensee), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following conditions.
CONDITIONS
- LICENSE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
THE license hereby granted is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations made or to be made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor. - DURATION OF LICENSE
Unless sooner lawfully determined this license shall continue in force until the 25th day of September, 1954.
SCHEDULE
LINES adapted for the supply of electrical energy from the licensee’s generating plant at Kaitangata Mine to the licensee’s Summer Hill Mine as shown by a yellow line on a plan marked P.W.D. 124368, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
