NOTICE is hereby given that HENDERSONS AND CABLES SPRINGS COMPANY, LIMITED, has changed its name to FEDERAL SPRINGS, LIMITED, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register in place of the former name.

DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE OF THREE FARTHINGS (¼D.) IN THE POUND (£) AS SECURITY FOR THE DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD CONVERSION LOAN FIRST REPAYMENT LOAN, 1947, OF £150,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Act, 1900, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying portion of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board Conversion Loan, 1934, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings (¼d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Board's district as defined by the aforesaid Act; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of three (3) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board on Monday, the 24th day of March, 1947.

DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE OF TWOPENCE (2D.) IN THE POUND (£) AS SECURITY FOR THE DRAINAGE EXTENSION LOAN, 1946, OF £130,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Act, 1900, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £130,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board under the above-mentioned Act, being the balance of a loan of two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000), authorized pursuant to the provisions of the Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Amendment Act, 1937, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence (2d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Board's district, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin and the Borough of St. Kilda; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board on Monday, the 24th day of March, 1947.

And notice is hereby further given that plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council situate at Te Araroa in the said county, New Zealand, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing, and send same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Te Araroa.

THE approximate areas of land required to be taken are as follows, being portions of Block 15, Matakaoa Survey District, shown on Plan 4390, and coloured thereon as hereinafter set forth:-

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE OF ONE-SIXTH OF ONE PENNY (½D.) IN THE POUND (£) AS SECURITY FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN, 1946, OF £10,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act (being one-tenth of the loan of £100,000 authorized by poll of the ratepayers on the 22nd April, 1937), the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of one penny (½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the said city; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE OF ONE PENNY HALFPENNY (1½D.) IN THE POUND (£) AS SECURITY FOR THE ELECTRICITY LOAN, 1946, OF £120,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £120,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing funds for extensions to the electrical reticulation system and the erection of buildings, and generally for the purposes of the Waipori Falls Electrical Power Act, 1904, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny half-penny (1½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Matakaoa County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work-namely, the construction of a road-and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
