Settlement) to which Water is supplied pursuant to Section 8
of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1939

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred
upon me by subsection (5) of section 8 of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1939, I, Clarence Farringdon Skinner, Minister of
Lands, hereby give notice that the lands defined in the Schedule
hereto are lands to which water is supplied under the said section.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Hobson County, situated in Blocks IX, XIII,
and XIV, Tokatoka Survey District, containing by admeasurement
1,706 acres 2 roods and 19 perches, more or less, being Allotments
35A, 37A, 46, 53, 109, 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138,
139, 140, 141, 160, 161, 162, 163, 164, 165, 166, and part 36A; also
part 36, being part lake and a reserve under section 129 of the Land
Act, 1924, Tatarariki Parish. As the same is more particularly

L. and S. 36/1474, deposited in the Head Office, Department of

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VI, Te Mata Survey
District, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public
work--to wit, the construction of a road--and for the purposes of
such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of
the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at
Pakipaki and is there open for inspection; and that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking
of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such
land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister
of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of piece of land required to be taken: 1 rood
8Β·5 perches.
Being part Peka Peka 2A 4 Block.

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.--Notice
declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Service-
man

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of
the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the
land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the
Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application
has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application
relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of a discharged
serviceman:

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the
Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of
the land, did on the 27th day of February, 1947, make an order
determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the
said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act
or within any further time allowed by the Court:

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman
who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of
His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land
is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby
specifies the 18th day of April, 1947, as the date on which the said
land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing two hundred and ninety-nine
(299) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Lot 6 on plan deposited
in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 3849, being part
Rural Sections 16217, 24515, and 31172, situated in Block XVI,
Opuna Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised
in certificate of title, Vol. 287, folio 180 (Canterbury Registry),
subject to the rights and easements created by Transfer 81163 and
the restrictions contained in section 8 of the Land Settlement
Finance Amendment Act, 1910, and also to the covenant contained
in Transfer 101544 in regard to fencing.
