All that area situated in City of Lower Hutt, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 15 perches, more or less, being Section 115, Epuni Hamlet, situated in Block XIV, Belmont Survey District. (Public-school site, Epuni.)

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
All that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 5 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 1263, situated in Block IV, Otaio Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the south-west and south-east by Rural Section 9116, 513·2 links and 583·9 links respectively, and towards the west and north-east generally by a public road by distances aggregating 2763·8 links. (Plantation.)

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Auckland Land District for other Land

B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General
WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.

FIRST SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED
Auckland Land District
ALL that area in the Piako County, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 34 perches, more or less, as shown on the plan numbered 33202, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland, being part of Section 11A, Block X, Waitoa Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/627B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

SECOND SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR Auckland Land District
ALL that area in the Piako County, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 6 perches, more or less, as shown on the plan numbered 33202, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland, being part of Section 17, Block X, Waitoa Survey District, and being portion of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 700, folio 60 (Auckland Land Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/627B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 25th day of March, 1947.

Honorary Inspector of Scenic Reserves appointed

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
John Morris Everness Newman to be an Honorary Inspector under the said Act.

RELINQUISHMENT OF TEMPORARY RANK

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) R. Tutty relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain and assumes the acting rank of Captain. Dated 14th February, 1947.
