both hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Marlborough County Council on the fourteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, viz.:—
“'The Marlborough County Council, having control of the road known as St. Leonard’s Road, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that portion of the said road fronting Lot 4, D.P. 193, of Section 17, Omaka, being the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 25, folio 267, and Lot 3, D.P. 193, of Section 15, Omaka, being the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 10, folio 25, the frontages being 5506·4 links and 5506·1 links respectively (less 12·5 links on each side)”; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the portion of St. Leonard’s Road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road situated in the Marlborough Land District, County of Marlborough, known as St. Leonard’s Road, fronting Lot 3, D.P. 193, being part Section 15, District of Omaka, and Lot 4, D.P. 193, being part Section 17, District of Omaka. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123081, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Appointing a Non-elective Member of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the eleventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 26 of the nineteenth day of the same month, Vernon Patrick Boot, Esquire, Dip. in Agr., was appointed a non-elective member of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board in terms of section forty-four of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941:
And whereas, the said Vernon Patrick Boot being now deceased, it is considered expedient to appoint another non-elective member in lieu of the said Vernon Patrick Boot:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section forty-four of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby cancel the appointment of the said Vernon Patrick Boot to be a non-elective member of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board, and do hereby appoint Hugh de Orellana Chamberlain, Esquire, B.Sc., Instructor in Agriculture, Department of Agriculture, Gisborne, to be a non-elective member of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board for a term commencing on the second day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and terminating on the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 25th day of March, 1947.

Land permanently reserved in the Auckland Land District

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one month, but not later than six months, after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was by the Warrant dated the twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and published in the Gazette of the thirtieth day of that month, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for cemetery purposes:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the land described in the Schedule hereto for cemetery purposes for which purpose the said land was so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.

All that area in the Borough of Pukekohe, situated in Block XV, Drury Survey District, containing by admeasurement 18·8 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 69, Suburban Section 1, Parish of Pukekohe, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 772, folio 241 (Auckland Land Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1107/1/5, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the seventy-first section of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, it is further provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside reserves for any specified public purpose out of lands acquired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the Auckland, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Wellington, and Canterbury Land Districts, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

All that area in the Coromandel County, situated in Block VI, Coromandel Survey District, containing by admeasurement 7·5 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 9, Papaparoro Block, on D.P. 2059, being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 93, folio 14 (Auckland Land Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/69, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT

All that area situated in the Borough of Gisborne, containing 1 acre 1 rood 28·44 perches, more or less, being Subdivision 123 on plan No. 4004 (blue) in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Gisborne, and being part of Lot 18, D.P. 1789 (part Section 209), part of Lot 3 of Section 210, and part Section 212, Gisborne Suburban, and being part of the land comprised in Certificates of Title, Volume 88, folio 166, and Volume 91, folio 48 (Gisborne Registry). HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT
All that area in the Borough of Hastings, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 36·38 perches, more or less, being Lot 74 on S.O. plan 2132, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier, being part Heretaunga Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1107/3B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Recreation.)
Also all that area in the Borough of Hastings, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 34·38 perches, more or less, being Lot 38 on S.O. plan 2054, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier, being part Heretaunga Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1107/3A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Recreation.)
