Regulations respecting the Blue Ensign of H.M. Fleet (Naval Reserve Flag)
KING’S REGULATIONS AND ADMIRALTY INSTRUCTIONS (ARTICLE 126)
WITH reference to clause 1 (b) of the above regulations, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 51, dated 29th July, 1926, the number of reservists who must form part of the crew in order that a ship may be eligible to fly the Blue Ensign will, for the year 1947, be six.

MARINERS are hereby informed that harbour electric lights and fog signals connected with the power supply are liable to be extinguished or cease operating without notice at any time during the existing power restrictions.
Care should therefore be exercised when approaching or navigating these harbours.

Notice to make Returns of Land under the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923
RETURNS OF LAND
EVERY person and company, whether a taxpayer or not, being the owner of land in New Zealand within the meaning of the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923, and regulations thereunder, is hereby required to furnish on or before the 10th April, 1947, in the prescribed form, a return of such land as at 12 noon on 31st March, 1947, where the total unimproved value, as assessed under the Valuation of Land Act, 1925, exceeds £500.
In the case of companies, such returns shall be delivered at or forwarded to the branch office of the Land and Income Tax Department where the company’s records are filed, and, in the case of individuals, partnerships, syndicates, and trusts, the returns shall be delivered or forwarded to the Commissioner of Taxes, Wellington C. 3.
Any person failing to furnish a return at the prescribed time is liable to a penalty up to £100.
Return forms are available at any post-office or from any office of the Land and Income Tax Department.
