Exemption Order under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—
A motor-driver's license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market-garden of the respective employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

The Waterfront Industry Commission Suspension Order 1947
Pursuant to the Waterfront Industry Emergency Regulations 1946, Amendment No. 1, the Minister of Labour doth hereby make the following Order.
ORDER
- This Order may be cited as the Waterfront Industry Commission Suspension Order 1947. 2. This Order shall come into force on the 7th day of January, 1947. 3. I do hereby suspend, in their application to the whole of New Zealand (except the ports referred to in the First Schedule hereto)— (a) Regulations 9, 10, 13, and 21 of the Waterfront Industry Emergency Regulations 1946 (hereinafter called the said regulations), except that part of subclause (2) of the said Regulation 10 which is set out in the Second Schedule hereto; and (b) All of the orders, directions, and decisions made or deemed to have been made by the Commission or any Port Committee under the said regulations, except those which are referred to in the Third Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
Ports in respect of which this suspension does not apply:—
Mangonui. Whakatane. Kaipara. Whangaroa. Opotiki. Port Waikato. Bay of Islands. Tokomaru Bay. Patea. Whangarei. Tolaga Bay. Motueka. Paeroa. Awanui. Takaka. Tauranga. Hokianga. Hokitika.
SECOND SCHEDULE
PART of Regulation 10 (2) of the said regulations which is not suspended:—
- (2)...the Commission may from time to time do all or any of the following things:—
(c) Direct the continuation of any existing methods of engagement, employment, and supervision of waterside labour, or introduce new methods;....
(f) Classify and register waterside workers in such manner and under such systems as it thinks fit:
(j) Enter into such contracts as it thinks fit for the purpose of exercising its powers and performing its functions;
(k) Recover from the owner, agent, or master of any ship moneys expended on wages or for any other purpose in connection with waterside work:
(l) Impose levies on the owners, agents, or masters of ships, and on any other employers of waterside labour for carrying out the functions of the Commission, and, in particular, for any of the following purposes:—
(i) Providing and operating labour engagement bureaux and central pay offices;
(iii) Providing for pay for holidays allowed to waterside workers (whether under the Annual Holidays Act, 1944, or otherwise);
(iv) Providing and operating amenities for waterside workers, including waiting-rooms, restaurants, and canteens;
(v) Supervising waterside labour.
THIRD SCHEDULE
ORDERS, directions, and decisions which are not suspended:— Order No. 110: Order of Commission providing a national fund for operation and establishment of Waterfront Labour Engagement Bureaux and Waterfront Central Pay Offices (but not including clause 1 (b) thereof). Order No. 111: Order of Commission in respect to the provision of funds for payment of wages to waterside workers. Direction of 9th July, 1945 : Annual Holidays Act, 1944. (Reference 1/1/5.)
