Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Town of Wakatia, Southland
Land District

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of
December, 1946
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a
reserve duly set apart for buildings and purposes of the
Stock Department: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose
of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for
plantation purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by sub-
section one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose
of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed
from a reserve for buildings and purposes of the Stock Department
to a reserve for plantation purposes.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
SECTIONS 1 to 22, Block II, Town of Wakatia: Area, 5 acres 2 roods,
more or less.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto are
reserves duly set apart as gravel reserves:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservations
over such lands shall be changed to reserves for water-supply
purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by sub-
section one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the
reserves described in the Schedule hereto are hereby changed from
gravel reserves to reserves for water-supply purposes.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 17, Block XIX, Mangahao Survey District: Area, 3 acres
3 roods 8 perches, more or less.
Also Section 18, Block XIX, Mangahao Survey District:
Area, 1 acre 3 roods 24 perches, more or less.

Nelson Land District

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms
portion of a reserve duly set apart for public-utility purposes:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation
over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of
section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of that portion of
the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from
a reserve for public-utility purposes to a reserve for recreation
purposes.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods, more or
less, being part of Section 94A, Square 170, situated in Block II,
Tutaki Survey District, bounded on the west by Chalgrave Street,
on the north by the Buller River, on the east and north-east by
Sections 25 and 26 of Block II, Tutaki Survey District, on the south
by the Nelson-Murchison Main Highway, and on the south-west by
another portion of Section 94A, Square 170, now known as the River
View Domain. As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 1/1051c, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation
over such land shall be changed to a reserve for cemetery purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a)
of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of that
portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
changed from a reserve for public purposes to a reserve for cemetery
purposes.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 34 per-
ches, more or less, being Reserve 4492 (formerly part Section 33,
Hanmer Plains Reserve), situated in Block II, Lyndon Survey
District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Jollies
Pass Road, 380·7 links, and in all other directions by other part
of Section 33, Hanmer Plains Reserve, defined as towards the east
generally 493·4 links and 388·4 links; towards the south, 322·6
links; and towards the west generally 388·4 links and 257·1 links.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 2/93, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Cancelling the Vesting of Reserves in the Cheviot County Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of
December, 1946
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto is
a reserve for gravel-pit purposes and is vested in the
Cheviot County Council:
And whereas the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto
are reserves for quarry purposes and are also vested in the said
Cheviot County Council:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said lands
as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Cheviot
County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the
vesting in the Cheviot County Council of the lands described in the
First and Second Schedules hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 3137, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District: Area, 2 acres
2 roods 16 perches, more or less.
SECOND SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 3140, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District: Area, 3 acres,
more or less.
Also Reserve 3144, Block IX, Cheviot Survey District: Area
3 acres, more or less.
