THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the
Thames Borough Council on the twentieth day of February, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-six, viz. :
“ The Thames Borough Council, being the local authority
having control of the streets in the Borough of Thames, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred
and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not
apply to the eastern side of the portion of Davy Street adjoining
all that piece of land situated in the Borough of Thames, being
portion of Lot 78, Lot 123, and part Lot 122 of the Kauaeranga
Nos. 13 and 14 Blocks, and being part of the land comprised
in Certificate of Title, Volume 560, folio 116, Auckland Registry,
limited as to parcels, and excepting all mines and minerals
upon and under the said land as are excepted by Conveyance
No. 5999D ” ;
such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
THE eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the
Auckland Land District, Borough of Thames, known as Davy
Street, fronting parts Lots 78 and 122 and Lot 123, Kauaeranga
No. 13 Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 123386, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to subsection three of section twenty-nine of the
Finance Act (No. 2), 1945, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby declare the undertaking of the Wairakei Hotel,
including the thermal lands adjacent thereto and all buildings and
accommodation and other licenses appurtenant thereto, to be a
public work for the purposes of the Public Works Act, 1928.

Authorizing the Exchange of a Reserve in Parish of Paremoremo,
North Auckland Land District, for other Land

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of
December, 1946

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto is
a reserve duly set apart for plantation purposes: And
whereas it is expedient that the said land should be exchanged for
the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-
General deems of equal value and more suitable for the purpose of
the reserve :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section eight
of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928,
doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule
hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second
Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED
North Auckland Land District
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 35·5 perches, more or
less, being Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 33624, deposited
in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part
Allotment 15A on Herald Island, Parish of Paremoremo, and being
part of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title,
Volume 799, folio 148 (Auckland Land Registry). As the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 25/846A,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon edged green.
SECOND SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR
North Auckland Land District
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 7·9 perches,
more or less, being Lot 164 as shown on the plan numbered 31409,
deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland,
being part Allotment 15 on Herald Island, Parish of Paremoremo,
and being part of the land comprised and described in Certificate of
Title, Volume 645, folio 93 (Auckland Land Registry). As the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 25/846A,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

reserve duly set apart for a site for a drill-shed :
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation
over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose
of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed
from a reserve for a site for a drill-shed to a reserve for recreation
purposes.

SECTION 16, Block I, Hawtrey Settlement, situated in Block XI,

consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose
of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed
from a reserve for a site for an orderly room to a reserve for
recreation purposes.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing 11·5 perches, more or less, situated in the
District of Waimea South, being part of Section VII on the plan of
the said district, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at
Nelson, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate
of Title, Volume 23, folio 3 (Nelson Registry).
