A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as street the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as street: 33·8 perches.
Being part Section 21, Block XXXIII, Town of Palmerston.
Situated in the Borough of Palmerston (Otago R.D.). (S.O. 9473.)
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 122509, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of December, 1946.

Proclaiming Tribal Districts under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section six of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto to be tribal districts for the purposes of the said Act, and do hereby assign to each of the several districts the name appearing at the head of the description of each such district.
SCHEDULE
TE AUPOURI TRIBAL DISTRICT
ALL that portion of the Mangonui County north of a right line from the sea-coast at the easternmost corner of G. Stephenson's Grant, in Block XVI, Hohoura East Survey District, and proceeding south-westerly through Hukatere in Block II, Opoe Survey District, to the sea-coast, and including adjacent islands.
THE NGATI KAHU TRIBAL DISTRICT
All that portion of the Mangonui County, bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of G. Stephenson's Grant in Block XVI, Hohoura East Survey District; thence easterly generally along the sea-coast to Te Ringa Point in Block I, Mangonui Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Allotment 108, Kohumaru Parish, in Block IV, Maungataniwha Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Mangonui County; thence south-westerly along the said county boundary to a point in the middle of the Awaroa River on the production of the right line between Taumata mahoe Trig. Station and the south-eastern corner of Section 6, Block XIV, Takahue Survey District, being the north-western boundaries of Allotments 108, 105, 104, 99, 98, 97, and 96, the south-western boundaries of Allotments 96 and 95, all of Kohumaru Parish, the northern boundaries of Allotments 69 and 71, Maungataniwha East Parish, the western boundary of Allotment 71 aforesaid and its production southwards to the northern boundary of Maungamuka East Block, the northern boundaries of that block, the northern and western boundaries of the Mangamuka West No. 3 Block, the western boundary of the Mangamuka West No. 2 Block, the northern boundary of the State Forest Reserve (New Zealand Gazette of 28th January, 1904, at page 310), the northern and western boundaries of Section 36, Block XV, Takahue Survey District, the western boundary of Section 35, Block XV aforesaid, part of the northern boundary of Section 60, and the northern boundaries of Sections 66, 67, and 69, and the western boundaries of Sections 69 and 68, all of Block II, Whangape Survey District, the northern boundary of Section 1, Block X, Whangape Survey District, to and across a public road to the centre of the Awaroa River, down the middle of that river to a point on the production of the right line aforesaid, from Taumata mahoe Trig. Station through the south-eastern corner of Section 6, Block XIV, Takahue Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along the said right line to Taumata mahoe Trig. Station; thence north-easterly along a right line to the junction of Ruaroa Road with the Great North Road near Rangitihi, in Block VI, Takahue Survey District; thence westerly and north-westerly generally along the middle of the Great North Road and Commerce Street, through the Borough of Kaitaia to the Kaitaia–Awanui Main Highway; thence northerly along the middle of that highway to its junction with Quarry Road; thence due west along a right line to the sea-coast; thence north-westerly along the sea-coast to a point on the production of the right line from the easternmost corner of G. Stephenson's Grant to Hukatere, in Block II, Opoe Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along the aforesaid right line, being the southern boundary of Te Aupouri Tribal District, hereinbefore described, to the aforesaid corner of G. Stephenson's Grant, the point of commencement, including all adjacent islands.
TE RARAWA TRIBAL DISTRICT
All that portion of Mangonui County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast in Block I, Takahue Survey District, due west of the junction of the Kaitaia–Awanui Main Highway with Quarry Road; thence easterly and southerly generally along the southern and western boundaries of the Ngati Kahu Tribal District, hereinbefore described, to the Awaroa River; thence south-westerly down the middle of the Awaroa River and the Whangape Harbour to the sea; thence north-westerly along a right line to the north head of that harbour, and north-westerly, easterly, and northerly generally along the sea-coast to a point due west of the junction of the Kaitaia–Awanui Main Highway with Quarry Road, the point of commencement.
THE WHANGAROA TRIBAL DISTRICT
All that portion of the Mangonui County and the whole of the Whangaroa County, bounded by a line commencing at Te Ringa Point, in Block I, Mangonui Survey District; thence easterly and south-easterly generally along the sea-coast to the mouth of the Takou River at the north-western corner of Block III, Kerikeri Survey District; thence along the centre of that river to the north-western boundary of Section 4, Blocks II and III, Kerikeri Survey District; thence along the north-western boundary of Section 4 aforesaid and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 5, subdivision of Kapiro Kauri-gum Reserve; thence along the western boundary of the said Section 5 and along the north-western boundaries of Section 3, subdivision of Kapiro Kauri-gum Reserve, and of Section 1, Block II, Kerikeri Survey District, to Trig. Station Te Whau; thence along the north-western boundary of the Kapiro Kauri-gum Reserve adjoining Sections 8 and 3, Blocks VIII and XII, Kaeo Survey District, to the north-eastern angle of Section 12, Block XII, Kaeo Survey District; thence along the northern boundaries of Sections 12 and 14, Block XII, Kaeo Survey District; thence along the western boundary of Section 14, the northern and western boundaries of Section 10, and portion of the western boundary of Section 15A, all of Block XII, Kaeo Survey District, until such last-mentioned boundary strikes a surveyed road; thence generally in a southerly direction along that road to the north-western angle of Section 16, Block XVI, Kaeo Survey District; thence along the western boundary of that section, and along the north-eastern and portion of the north-western boundaries of Section 28, Blocks XV and XVI, Kaeo Survey District; thence along the north-western boundaries of the Mangaparerua Kauri-gum Reserve (passing through Manganginangina Trig. Station), and of Sections 15, 8, and 9, Blocks XV and XVI, Kaeo Survey District; thence along Crown land adjoining portion of the south-western boundary of Section 3, Block XVI, Kaeo Survey District, to the Pukatea Stream; thence along the centre of that stream to its confluence with the Waipapa River; thence generally in a south-westerly direction along the centre of the Waipapa River aforesaid to its confluence with the Mangapa River; thence generally in a north-westerly direction along the centre of that river to its confluence with the Whakatereterekia Stream, and along the centre of that stream until it intersects the northern boundary of Block XVI, Maungataniwha Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of that block and the north-eastern boundary of the Omahuta State Forest Timber Sections Nos. 16, 6, and 2, to Ratakamaru Trig. Station; thence along portion of the north-western boundary of the said Timber Section 2 to the easternmost angle of the Mangamuka East Block; thence generally along the north-eastern boundary of that block to a point on the production of the western boundary of Allotment 71, Maungataniwha East Parish, in Block VII, Maungataniwha Survey District, the said point being a point on the eastern boundary of the Ngati Kahu Tribal District hereinbefore described; thence northerly generally along that boundary to Te Ringa Point, the point of commencement, and including Stephenson's Island, the Cavalli Islands, and other adjacent islands.

Crown Land set apart as a Provisional State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland County, containing by admeasurement 194 acres, more or less, being Section 388, Block XV, Forest Hill Hundred. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 212/7, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of December, 1946.
