Agreement for Grant of Drainage Easement in favour of Alexander Leadbetter Rogers, of Belfast, Wool-classer, and Elizabeth Baird Rogers, of Belfast, Spinster, over Land in Block III, Christchurch Survey District, taken for a Public Work, assented to

WHERCAS by a Proclamation dated the 4th day of April, 1946, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 11th day of the same month, all that piece of land containing 3 roods 6·3 perches, being part Lot 1, D.P. 1263, part Rural Section 373, Block III, Christchurch Survey District, was taken for a public work :
And whereas Alexander Leadbetter Rogers, of Belfast, Wool-classer, and Elizabeth Baird Rogers, of Belfast, Spinster, were entitled to compensation in respect of their interests in the said land :
And whereas the Minister of Works agreed to grant to the said Alexander Leadbetter Rogers and Elizabeth Baird Rogers and their successors in title a drainage easement over the land described in the Schedule hereto as part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid and to provide a sum of money in satisfaction of the residue of the said compensation :
And whereas the said Alexander Leadbetter Rogers and Elizabeth Baird Rogers agreed to accept such grant of easement and sum of money in full satisfaction of the said compensation :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice, in pursuance of section ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land affected: 7·6 perches. Being part Lot 1, D.P. 1263, part Rural Section 373, Block III, Christchurch Survey District.
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 124038, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 30th day of May, 1947, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 14th day of January, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.
