The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 22nd day of May, 1947, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 11th day of November, 1946, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land situated in Block II, Onewhero Survey District, containing by admeasurement two (2) roods fourteen (14) perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 20751, being part of Allotment 1, Puni Parish, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 665, folio 271 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situated in Block II, Onewhero Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and sixty-six (166) acres two (2) roods nine (9) perches, more or less, being part of the land on Deposited Plan 2682, being part of Purapura No. 1 Block, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 796, folio 94 (Auckland Registry).

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Blocks I and V, Wairere Survey District, and Block IV, Maungakawa Survey District, containing by admeasurement eight hundred and fifty-three (853) acres three (3) roods nineteen (19) perches, more or less, being Lots 1, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 37, Deposited Plan 12904, being parts of Orongomairoa Block, and being the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 707, folio 314 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that area situated in Blocks IV and VIII, Maungakawa Survey District, and Block V, Wairere Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and seven (107) acres one (1) rood nineteen (19) perches, more or less, being Lot 30, Deposited Plan 12904, being part of Orongomairoa Block, and being the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 336, folio 159 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that area situated in Block I, Wairere Survey District, containing by admeasurement eighty-three (83) acres two (2) roods nine (9) perches, more or less, being Lot 7, Deposited Plan 12904, being part of Orongomairoa Block, and being the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 352, folio 293 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that area situated in Block I, Wairere Survey District, containing by admeasurement six (6) acres thirty-six (36) perches, more or less, being Lot 38, Deposited Plan 12904, being part of Orongomairoa Block, and being part of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 707, folio 313 (Auckland Registry).

ALL that parcel of land situated in Blocks III and VII, Cambridge Survey District, containing by admeasurement sixty-seven (67) acres two (2) roods thirty-eight (38) perches, more or less, being Whareraurekau B Block, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 266, folio 140 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situated in Block III, Cambridge Survey District, containing by admeasurement thirty (30) acres nineteen (19) perches, more or less, being Whareraurekau C No. 2 Block, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 268, folio 10 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situated in Blocks III and VII, Cambridge Survey District, containing by admeasurement five hundred and two (502) acres eight (8) perches, more or less, being Maungakawa B No. 2 Block, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 299, folio 176 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situated in Block VII, Cambridge Survey District, containing by admeasurement eighty-three (83) acres two (2) roods thirty (30) perches, more or less, being Maungakawa B No. 1 Block, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 734, folio 105 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situated in Block III, Cambridge Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifteen (15) acres thirty-two (32) perches, more or less, being Whareraurekau C No. 3B Block, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 807, folio 162 (Auckland Registry).

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman :

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 27th day of June, 1946, make an order determining the basic value of the land :

And whereas an appeal was lodged by the owner against the order determining the basic value :

And whereas the Land Sales Court has dismissed such appeal :

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 31st day of October, 1946, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing fifty-four (54) acres one (1) rood, fourteen decimal two (14·2) perches, more or less, situate in Block X, Mount Fyffe Survey District, and being part of Section 133, District of Kaikoura Suburban, and being the balance of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 40, folio 118 (limited as to parcels), (Marlborough Registry).
