Altering the Boundaries of the Dannevirke and Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power Districts

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Dannevirke and Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power Districts by excluding the area described in the First Schedule hereto from the Dannevirke Electric-power District and including such area in the Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power District, and do hereby declare that the boundaries of the Central Hawke's Bay and Dannevirke Electric-power Districts shall be those described in the Second and Third Schedules hereto respectively.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District comprising Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and part Section 7, Block I, Takapau Survey District, and Rakautatahi 1D 1, 1D 2, 1M 1, 1M 2, 4A, and part 4B Blocks, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the southern boundary of Rakautatahi 1E 2 Block with the Mahurauti Stream, and proceeding in an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Rakautatahi 1E 2, 1E 3, 1E 4, 1E 5, 1N, and 1C 1 Blocks, the crossing of a public road, and along the southern boundaries of Rakautatahi 1C 2E, 1C 2D Blocks, and 1C 2C Block, produced to the middle of the main Norsewood–Takapau Road; thence southerly and westerly along the middle of that road to the Manawatu River; thence westerly along the middle of the said Manawatu River to the production of the eastern boundary of Rakautatahi 1F 1A 5 Block; thence northerly along the said produced boundary, the eastern boundary of Rakautatahi 1F 1A 5 Block, to and along the Mahurauti Stream forming the eastern boundary of subdivisions of Rakautatahi 1F 1 Block to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 101014, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

SECOND SCHEDULE

CENTRAL HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT

FIRST, all that area situated in the Hawke's Bay Land District comprising the boroughs of Waipukurau and Waipawa, the counties of Patangata, Waipawa, and Waipukurau, all as at present constituted, and also that portion of the Hawke's Bay County commencing at a point on the Hawke's Bay - Waipawa County boundary, being the south-west corner of the Subdivision A of Matuwhiro Block; thence proceeding in a north-westerly direction along the said counties boundary to a point being the south-west corner of Subdivision 1 of the Te Otarata Block; thence in a north-easterly direction along the western boundary of the said block to a point on Knight's Road, being the north-west corner of part Section 2G; thence in an easterly direction along the southern side of that road to its junction with Te Onepu Road; thence southerly along the western side of the said Te Onepu Road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 3191; thence generally in an easterly direction across the Te Onepu Road and along the northern and eastern boundaries of the said Lot 3, D.P. 3191, the northern boundaries of Subdivisions 2B, 4A 1, 4A 2, and 4B 2 of the Waihuahua Block, to and across a public road, and along the northern boundaries of Subdivisions B 6A 1 and B 6A 2 of the Otuaramia Block to the northernmost corner of the said B 6A 2; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundaries of Subdivisions B 6A 2, B 6A 3, B 6A 4A, B 6A 4B, B 6A 4C, and B 6A 5B, the northern boundaries of B 6A 5A and B 6A 6 of the Otuaramia Block, the northern boundary of Subdivision B 2, and northern and eastern boundaries of Subdivision B 1 of the Waionga-Kohanga Block, the northern and eastern boundaries of Subdivisions A 2B and A 1, to and along the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 3333, to its intersection with the northern boundary of the Rakau o Mokai B Block; thence in a south-easterly direction along the northern boundary of the Rakau o Mokai B Block and the right bank of the Te Ngao Stream; thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundary of Roto-a-Kiwa 2A and Kakiwahine 1A Blocks to its intersection with the northern boundary of the Paparuhe Block; thence easterly along the northern boundary of the said Paparuhe Block to its north-eastern corner; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of the Paparuhe Block and of part Lot 1 on Plan 3924, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier, to its intersection with a public road; thence westerly and north-westerly along that road to main Napier–Wellington Road; thence southerly along that road to the southern boundary of Poupoutahi Block; thence along the southern boundaries of Poupoutahi and Matuowhiro Blocks to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 79315, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged yellow.

Secondly, all that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District comprising Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and part Section 7, Block I, Takapau Survey District, and Rakautatahi 1D 1, 1D 2, 1M 1, 1M 2, 4A, and part 4B Blocks, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the southern boundary of Rakautatahi 1E 2 Block with the Mahurauti Stream, and proceeding in an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Rakautatahi 1E 2, 1E 3, 1E 4, 1E 5, 1N, and 1C 1 Blocks, the crossing of a public road, and along the southern boundaries of Rakautatahi 1C 2E, 1C 2D Blocks, and 1C 2C Block produced to the middle of the main Norsewood–Takapau Road; thence southerly and westerly along the middle of that road to the Manawatu River; thence westerly along the middle of the said Manawatu River to the production of the eastern boundary of Rakautatahi 1F 1A 5 Block; thence northerly along the said produced boundary, the eastern boundary of Rakautatahi 1F 1A 5 Block, to and along the Mahurauti Stream forming the eastern boundary of subdivisions of Rakautatahi 1F 1 Block to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 101014, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

THIRD SCHEDULE

DANNEVIRKE ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay and Wellington Land Districts, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the summit of the Ruahine Range due west of the source of the Makaretu River; thence by a right line to the source of the Makaretu River; thence by a line down the middle of the Makaretu River to a point due north of the junction of the Palmerston North–Napier State Highway with the old Norsewood–Takapau Road; thence by a line running due south to that junction; thence by a line in the middle of the Palmerston North–Napier State Highway in a southerly direction to the production of the southern boundary of Rakautatahi 1C 2C Block; thence to the southernmost corner of that block; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Rakautatahi 1C 2C, 1C 2D, and 1C 2E Blocks, across a public road, and along the southern boundaries of Rakautatahi 1C 1, 1N, 1E 5, 1E 4, 1E 3, and 1E 2 Blocks to the intersection of the southern boundary of the last-named block with the Mahurauti Stream; thence down the said Mahurauti Stream forming the eastern boundary of subdivisions of Rakautatahi 1F 1 Block, to and along the eastern boundary of Rakautatahi 1F 1A 5 Block, and by that line produced to the middle of the Manawatu River; thence by a line down the middle of the Manawatu River to its confluence with the Waikopiro Stream; thence by a line up the middle of the Waikopiro and Mangapurakau Streams to the southern boundary of Lot 1 on Plan 4265, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier; thence by that boundary and the southern boundaries of Lots 2 and 3 on the aforesaid Deposited Plan 4265 to the Whatatuna Stream; thence down the middle of the Whatatuna Stream to its confluence with the Turaekaitai Stream; thence southerly and westerly up the Turaekaitai Stream to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Section 14, Block XV, Takapau Survey District; thence generally southerly along the boundary of the said Section 14 to its intersection with the Whangai Stream; thence south-westerly down the middle of that stream to its junction with the Mangapuaka Stream; thence up the middle of the said Mangapuaka Stream to its intersection with a right line running through Trig. Station 27 to Trig. Station 12 on the southern boundary of Section 4, Block V, Porongahau Survey District; thence along that line to Trig. Station 12; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 3, Block VIII, Mangatoro Survey District, to Te Uri Road; thence across Te Uri Road and along the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block XII, Mangatoro Survey District, to its south-eastern corner; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of the said Section 2 and S.G.R. 73, Block XII, Mangatoro Survey District, to the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XI, Mangatoro Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block XI, Mangatoro Survey District, and Sections 2 and 1, Block XV, Mangatoro Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-named section; thence generally westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections 1 and 3, Block XV aforesaid, Section 6, Block XIV, Mangatoro Survey District, across Speedy's Road, to and along the southern boundaries of part Section 4 and Lot 1 of Section 4, Block XIV, Mangatoro Survey District, the abuttal of a public road, the southern boundary of Lot 3 on Plan 6539, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier, across the Dannevirke–Weber Main Road, to and along the southern boundary of Lot 2 on the aforesaid Deposited Plan 6539, along the southern boundaries of Sections 4, 3, and 2, Block XIII, Mangatoro Survey District, to Trig. Station 51 (Oporae); thence along the eastern boundaries of Puketoi 6B and 6A Blocks to Wahataura Trig. Station; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Puketoi 6A Block, Lot 1 on Plan 7164, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier, and Section 10, Block XV, Tahoraiti Survey District, to a rabbit-fence reserve; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern side of the rabbit-fence reserve to its intersection with the north-western boundary-line of the land shown on Plan 4376, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence generally westerly along the northern boundaries of that land to the western boundary of Section 13, Block III, Makuri Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary to the rabbit-fence reserve; thence north-westerly along the western side of that reserve to the southern boundary of Section 1, Block XIII, Tahoraiti Survey District, on the Wellington Land District boundary; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections 1, 37, 24, 36, Block XIII, Tahoraiti Survey District, Sections 5, 4, 2, 1, Block IX, Woodville Survey District, and the southern boundary produced of Section 1, Block IX, Woodville Survey District, to a point in the middle of the Manawatu River; thence generally westerly along the middle of that river to a point opposite the south-eastern corner of Section 2, Subdivision X, of the Manchester Block; thence northerly to and along the eastern boundary of that subdivision to the north-western corner of Section 3, Block II, Gorge Survey District; thence to and along the middle of the road forming the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 3 to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 2, Block II, Gorge Survey District; thence to and along the western, northern, and eastern boundaries of the said Section 2 to its intersection with the western boundary of Section 6, Block II aforesaid; thence north-easterly along the western boundaries of Section 6, Block II aforesaid, Sections 4, 3, 1, and 6, Block VII, Gorge Survey District, to the north-western corner of the last-named section; thence south-easterly along the northern boundary
