Waihi Swamp Drainage Area.—Penalty on Overdue Rates

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 1st February, 1946.

IN pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act, 1925, and the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, the rate-payers within the Waihi Rating Area are hereby notified that 10 per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31st March, 1946, unpaid on the 15th April, 1946.

Rates may be paid at any money-order office, or to the Collector of Rates, Lands and Survey Department, P.O. Box 2205, Auckland C. 1.

Poukawa Drainage Area.—Penalty on Overdue Rates

IN pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act, 1925, and the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, the ratepayers within the Poukawa Drainage Rating Area are hereby notified that 10 per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31st March, 1946, unpaid on the 14th March, 1946.

Rates may be paid to the Collector of Rates, Lands and Survey Department, P.O. Box 2205, Auckland C. 1, or at any money-order office.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.

WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Thames Extension No. 31, affecting parts Pukauere and Tane Waharahi No. 1 Blocks, Block I, Thames Survey District, Auckland Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the road shown as Patui Avenue thereon should be of the width of 66 ft. :

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the road shown as Patui Avenue of a width of not less than 40 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.

Given under the hand of the Minister of Lands, this 1st day of February, 1946.

Tutukaka Head : Light to be established

Position : Tutukaka Head—northern entrance point to harbour: Lat., 34° 36′6 S.; long., 174° 32′8 E. (approx.). Chart No. 3798.

Abridged Description : Fl. 7 sec. 285 ft. 11 m. (U.).

Details : On or about the 6th February a white light flashing every 7 sec., flash 0·3 sec., will be established in the above position. Structure: Pyramidal-shaped concrete tower 11 ft. high, painted white. Visibility: 11 miles. Arc of visibility: Approximately from 166° through south and west to 006°. The light is unwatched.
