Notice of Intention to take Land in Block V, Whangaparaoa Survey District, for Road
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Te Kaha and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123686, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the City of Palmerston North for Public Buildings of the General Government
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928 to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for public buildings of the General Government : And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken : 30·8 perches.
Being part Section 329, Town of Palmerston North, being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 125, folio 273 (Wellington Land Registry), and being the vacant section adjoining Woodfield's Garage, Cuba Street, Palmerston North.

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 21st day of August, 1946, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 25th day of October, 1946, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing by admeasurement four hundred and seventy-three (473) acres, more or less, being Section 7, Block I, Aongatete Survey District.

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of discharged servicemen :

And whereas an appeal was lodged by the owner against the order determining the basic value :
And whereas the Land Sales Court has dismissed such appeal :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 29th day of October, 1946, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

NORTH AUCKLAND DISTRICT
All that area in the Pukekohe Borough, Block XI, Drury Survey District, containing by admeasurement ten (10) acres three (3) roods and eighteen (18) perches, more or less, being Allotment 127, of the Suburban Section 2, Pukekohe Parish, and being the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 755, folio 210 (Auckland Registry), limited as to parcels and title.
