that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance
of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and the Official
Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, appointed-

to be an officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned
Act in respect of the Stratford Acclimatization District.

Approval of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940,
the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the person
named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a Testing
Officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in
Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Exemption Order under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions
of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they
relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the
person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following
provisions shall apply:-
A motor-driver's license issued under the Motor-drivers Regu-
lations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule
hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the
course of his employment on a farm or market-garden of the
employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not
authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive
a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Approval of Application by Gisborne Borough Council for Declaration
of a Zone of Parking Restriction
PURSUANT to Regulation 3 of the Traffic Sign Regulations 1937,
as amended by the Traffic Sign Regulations 1937, Amend-
ment No.1, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the
application made by the Gisborne Borough Council for a declaration
that the continuous parking of motor-vehicles shall be restricted
to a maximum period of thirty minutes for any vehicle between the
hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the zone of parking restriction described
in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
All that part of Gladstone Road commencing at its meeting with
Grey Street and ending at its meeting with Reads Quay and all
that part of Peel Street commencing at its meeting with Reads
Quay and ending at its meeting with Gladstone Road.

Amending the Extended River Limits out of Leigh Cove
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by
section 189 of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, I, James
O'Brien, Minister of Marine, do hereby revoke the Warrant dated
the 15th day of April, 1946, and published in the Gazette on the
2nd day of May, 1946, at page 549, defining extended river limits
for deep-sea sports fishing out of Leigh Cove, and do hereby define
Leigh Cove extended river limits within which extended river limit
vessels may ply to be within a fifteen-mile radius of the eastern
entrance of Leigh Cove, Auckland Province.
As witness my hand at Wellington, this 18th day of September,
1946.

The Wool Packing Control Order 1946
PURSUANT to the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations
1939, the Minister of Agriculture hereby makes the following
Order.
ORDER
- This Order may be cited as the Wool Packing Control
Order 1946. - This Order shall come into force on the day following notifi-
cation in the Gazette of the making hereof. - Every bale of wool sold or offered for sale shall be so packed
that the weight of the wool and the container shall not exceed
400 lb. avoirdupois. - No person shall pack any bale of wool otherwise than in
accordance with the requirements of this Order.
