A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect
on and after the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and forty-six.

Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto;
and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the
Second Schedule hereto.

Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road
being no longer required.

Authorizing the Ohura Cosmopolitan Club (Inc.), of Ohura, to erect
certain Electric Lines in Portion of the Town District of Ohura

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 18th day of
September, 1946
Present :
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Ohura Cosmopolitan
Club (Inc.), of Ohura (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), to lay,
construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the
Schedule hereto on the following conditions.
CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
THE conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Electrical
Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall
form part of this license, except in so far as the same may be incon-
sistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENSE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
The license hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the
licensee with the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Electrical
Supply Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations
1934, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification
or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be two-wire direct current.
Electrical energy shall be transmitted at a pressure of 120 volts
direct current between terminals.
- DURATION OF LICENSE
Unless lawfully determined, this license shall continue in force
until the 31st day of March, 1967, or until electrical energy is
available from an Electric-power Board or other general public
source, whichever is the earlier.
- CHARGES ON SALE
(1) The charges for electrical energy shall not exceed 1s. per
unit for lighting purposes and 6d. per unit for all other purposes :
Provided that “lighting purposes” shall include electrical energy
used for such purposes directly or indirectly from the source of
supply except where used to charge a secondary battery for standby
emergency lighting only.
(2) Payment shall not be demanded from any consumer at
intervals apart of less than twenty-one days.
SCHEDULE
LINES adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for the
transmission of electrical energy commencing from the premises of
Kahill Motors Garage in Section 5, Block IX, Ohura Survey District,
and proceeding thence across Ngarimu Street to the licensee's
premises situated in Section 4, Block VIII, Ohura Survey District ;
the same being more particularly delineated by means of black lines
on the plan marked P.W.D. 121840, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Works at Wellington.
