NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
—
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Otamatea County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a public work—namely, the making of a road—and for the purpose of such work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and that the plan of the said land so to be taken is deposited in the office of the Otamatea County Council at Paparoa and is open for inspection by all persons during office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Otamatea County Council Office at Paparoa.

SCHEDULE

AREA of land to be taken: 2 roods 31 perches, being part of Allotment 50, Parish of Paparoa, Block XI, Matakoe Survey District; coloured blue on plan S.O. 33979.

And also 26 perches, being part of Allotment 50 of the said parish; coloured yellow on the said plan.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership existing between GEOFFREY ROY LEWES, WILLIAM JAMES BEVIN BELLAMY, and CURZON WALTER HANSARD, carrying on business at 38A Marjoribanks Street, Wellington, as Motor Renovators, under the name and style of “L.B.H. HOROWHENUA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—

The Horowhenua Electric-power Board Electric Reticulation Loan No. 2, 1946, £60,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Horowhenua Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Horowhenua Electric-power Board Electric Reticulation Loan No. 2, 1946, of £60,000, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of further extending reticulation in the Board’s district, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-twentieths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Horowhenua Electric-power Board District, as defined in the proclamation appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 100 of the 1st day of December, 1921; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Horowhenua Electric-power Board held at Levin on the 30th April, 1946.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Cook County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work for the use and convenience of the public—namely, the establishment of paddocks for travelling-stock—and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situated at 150 Childers Road, Gisborne, New Zealand, and is open for inspection by all persons (without fee) during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the said public work or by the taking of such lands are required to state such objections in writing, and to send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

SCHEDULE

The approximate area of parts of land to be taken is 2 acres 2 roods 36·3 perches, being part of Whangara H 4B Block, Block X, Whangara Survey District, situated in the County of Cook, in the Gisborne Land District, and coloured on plan No. 4364.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Clutha County Council proposes to take, by virtue of section 22 of the Public Works Act, 1928, for road purposes in connection with a deviation of the Nuggets Road, the lands described in the Schedule hereto: And it is further hereby notified that a plan of such lands proposed to be taken is deposited in the County Office, Balclutha, and is open for inspection during office hours: And, further, all persons affected by the taking of the said lands are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing to the Clutha County Council, Balclutha, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice.
