STATE FOREST SERVICE NOTICE

Land in the Otago Land District acquired for the Purposes of a Permanent State Forest

State Forest Service,
Wellington, 19th July, 1946.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921–22, for the purposes of a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL those areas in the Otago Land District, Waitaki County, containing by admeasurement 2,848 acres 1 rood 8 perches, more or less, and described as follows:—

All that area containing 217 acres 2 roods 27 perches, more or less, being Sections 10 and 11, Block IX, Otepopo Survey District, and being the lands comprised and described in certificates of title, Vol. 68, folio 245, and Vol. 147, folio 24.

Also all that area containing 2,033 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Sections 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, Lot 2 of Section 22, Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 44, 45, 46, Lot 2 of Section 47, Sections 49, 50, 52, 53, 60, and 62, Block VIII, Otepopo Survey District, and being the lands comprised and described in certificates of title, Vol. 91, folio 78, Vol. 116, folio 12, Vol. 232, folio 166, and Vol. 247, folio 9.

Also all that area containing 596 acres 3 roods 37 perches, more or less, being Sections 40 and 41, Block VIII, Otepopo Survey District, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 49, and 50, Block IX, Otepopo Survey District, and Sections 1 and 2, Block XIII, Otepopo Survey District, and being the lands comprised and described in certificates of title, Vol. 117, folio 3, and Vol. 158, folio 236. As the same are delineated on plans Nos. 188/3 and 188/4, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

EVIDENCE having been produced to me that an Outstanding Deed of Grant No. 28163 and a Memorandum of Grant No. 12702, both now vested in WILLIAM FRANCIS GREENAWAY, of New Plymouth, over, inter alia, those parcels of land containing together 193 acres 3 roods and 30 perches, more or less, being part of Sections Nos. 93, 100, and 113 of the Omata District, and part of Section 5, Block I, Egmont Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificates of title, Vol. 130, folio 96, Vol. 130, folio 97, and Vol. 100, folio 144 (Taranaki Registry), whereof Howard Edward Okey, of New Plymouth, Farmer, is the registered proprietor, have been determined and extinguished, notice is hereby given of my intention to notify such determination and extinguishment upon the said register-books, pursuant to section 3 of the Land Transfer Amendment Act, 1939, on the expiration of one calendar month from 1st August, 1946, unless good cause to the contrary can be shown.
