Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block IV, Belmont Survey District—viz., a Deviation of the Haywards-Paremata Main Highway

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road in Block IV, Belmont Survey District—viz., a deviation of the Haywards-Paremata Main Highway—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
COMMENCING at a point on the existing Haywards—Parmata Main Highway adjoining part Section 197, Hutt Registration District, Block IV, Belmont Survey District, approximately 9 chains south of its intersection with the old Haywards—Pahautanui Road, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 49-5 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over parts Sections 197 and 265, Hutt Registration District, and part Section 14, Block IV, Belmont Survey District, and terminating at a point on the said main highway adjoining part Section 14, Block IV, Belmont Survey District; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Wellington Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123860, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of July, 1946.

P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 37.5 perches. Being part Rural Section 2114.
Situated in Block XV, Pigeon Bay Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7661.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123270, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of July, 1946.

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of scientific and industrial research (entomological station); and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 roods 7.2 perches. Being Lot 5, D.P. 9444, being part Rural Section 5800.
Situated in Block XIII, Ashburton Survey District (Canterbury R.D.).
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123768, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of July, 1946.

Crown Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Auckland Land District

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers under special tenures in the manner provided in the said Act.
SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—CROWN LAND SECTIONS 8, 12, and 15, Block III, and Sections 12, 13, and 16, Block IV, Marokopa Survey District : Area, 2,098 acres.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of July, 1946.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Sir Michael Myers, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County, containing by admeasurement 5,177 acres, more or less, and described as follows: All that area containing by admeasurement 3,414 acres, more or less, and being Sections 1, 3, and 8, Block XI, and Sections 4 and 7, Block XV, Mount Arthur Survey District.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 1,763 acres, more or less, and being Sections 7 and 8, Block II, and Sections 14 and 15, Block III, Wangapeka Survey District.
As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 102/11, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of June, 1946.

Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT SECTIONS 40 and 43; Block VII, Maungamangero Survey District: Area, 206 acres O roods 5 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 31550.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of July, 1946.
