I, JEAN WINSOME McLEAN, M.B., Ch.B., 1945, now residing
in Ashburton, hereby give notice that I intend applying on
the 19th February, 1946, to have my name placed on the Medical
Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have
deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the
Department of Health at Wellington.

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Feilding Borough Conversion Loan No. 1 Redemption Loan of
£54,740 (1946)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Feilding
Borough Council hereby further resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund,
and other charges in connection with the loan of £54,740, being
raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of the prior redemption of the debentures in
the original Conversion Loan No. 1 and remaining unpaid on the
1st April, 1946, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of fourpence half-pence (4½d.) in the pound
upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all
rateable property of the district, comprising the Borough of
Feilding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, or any portion thereof, and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year
until the last maturity date of the securities comprising the
debentures, being the 1st day of October, 1955, or until such
debentures are fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Feilding Borough Council held on the 13th September, 1945.

DEPARTMENT, giving—
(1) A list of members of the 1st New Zealand Expedi-
tionary Force killed in action, died of wounds
inflicted, of accidents occurring, or disease con-
tracted while on active service.
(2) Those who died after discharge from the 1st New
Zealand Expeditionary Force from wounds inflicted
or disease contracted while on active service up
to 31st December, 1923.
(3) Those who died from accident occurring or disease
contracted while training with or attached to the
1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force of New
Zealand.

£3 3s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN
ADVANCE.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:—
Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d.,
increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or
part thereof; postage, 1d.
Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the
first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding
32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent
16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written
across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the
day preceding publication.
