Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

C. F. Measom, 75 Hobson Street, Auckland, has applied for a license to manufacture women’s sandals by the hand-made and cemented processes.

Pharmacy Industry

Jack Ross, 3 Park Drive Flats, Domain Drive, Parnell, Auckland, has applied for a license to operate a new pharmacy in premises to be obtained in Queen Street, Auckland, between Wyndham Street and Winstone’s Buildings, Auckland.

Leslie Claude Day, care of Hildreth’s Pharmacy, Hamilton, has applied for a license to operate a new pharmacy at Raglan.

S. Pendrigh and D. S. Dodds, 195 Papanui Road, Christchurch, have applied for a license to operate a new pharmacy at 216 Fendalton Road, Christchurch. (NOTE.—This notice is in substitution for the notice of an application by Messrs. Pendrigh and Dodds which appeared in the New Zealand Gazette No. 46, 27th June, 1946, on page 919, which is hereby cancelled.)

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

Sutton Bros., Ltd., P.O. Box 39, Lyttelton, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on a launch jetty at Lyttelton.

L. M. Franchi, Marine Hotel, Whakataki, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on hotel premises at the junction of the Mataikona, Castlepoint, and Masterton Roads.

N. O. Chesterman, Cricket Street, Masterton, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump already installed on garage premises in Cricket Street, Masterton.

D. J. Logan, Taurikura, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises at Taurikura.

K. W. Anderson, 228 St. Andrew’s Road, Epsom, Auckland, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from proposed service-station premises at the corner of Rockfield Road and Station Road, One Tree Hill, Auckland.

N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, has applied for an extension of their motor-spirit reseller’s license to enable them to resell motor-spirit through a pump already installed at the rear of the company’s premises in 45 Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North.

L. W. Hunt, Beach Road, Whangamata, has applied for permission to replace the portable pump used for the resale of motor-spirit by a fixed pump to be installed on store premises at Whangamata.

J. W. Tootill, Puniu Road, Te Awamutu, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump already installed in an open yard at garage premises in Puniu Road, Te Awamutu.

P. Meikle, Blenheim Rental Cars, Ltd., Alfred Street, Blenheim, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed inside premises at Alfred Street, Blenheim.

S. Griffiths and E. W. Buckingham, G. and B. Transport, Maraetai, via Whitford, have applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on the kerbside fronting service-station premises at the centre of the beach on the main Auckland–Howick–Clevedon–Papakura route at Maraetai.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than the 18th day of July, 1946, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES

Land in Wellington Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures

District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 2nd July, 1946.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924 ; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 29th July, 1946.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 31st July, 1946, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce evidence of their financial position and farming experience.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.
