Notice of Intenton to take Additional Land in Block II, Opoiti Survey District, for a Native School

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for a Native school: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Wairoa and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land required to be taken: 1 rood 12 perches.
Being part Mangapoike 2A 2 Block.
Situated in Block II, Opoiti Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 4341.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123471, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 28th day of February, 1947, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 22nd day of July, 1946, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.


SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1,319 acres 37·7 poles, more or less, being Section 9B, Block II, and part Lot 2, Deposited Plan 1952, being part Sections 7, 9, and 16, Block II, and part Section 13, Block III, Toetoes Survey District, being all the land contained in certificate of title, Vol. 122, folio 272 (Southland Registry).

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 31st day of May, 1947, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 31st day of July, 1946, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.


SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area of 501 acres, being part of Section 1, Block XIV, and part of Section 2, Block XV, Hawera Survey District (Taumaha Block); excepting all minerals oil, and minerals gasses and coal, and the right to mine therefor, and win and get the same respectively, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 106, folio 57 (Taranaki Registry).

Amending Tauranga Extended River Limits

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 189 of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, I, James O’Brien, do hereby amend the Tauranga Extended River Limits by deleting the word “Harbourmaster” and substituting the words “Inspector of Fisheries, Tauranga.”

Prescribing Fees Payable for Motor-vehicle Registration Plates

PURSUANT to Regulation 13 of the Motor-vehicles Registration Regulations 1946,* I, James O’Brien, Minister of Transport, do hereby prescribe that, in respect of the licensing year commencing on the 1st day of July, 1946, to cover the cost and issue of the registration plates to be issued under the said regulations, there shall be payable in respect thereof the sum of 1s. for each such plate.
