COOK COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD AND TO STOP A ROAD

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Cook County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute
a certain public work—namely, the construction of a road and the closing of a road—and for the purposes of such public
work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken and the road shown in the Second Schedule hereto
is required to be stopped : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so to be taken and of the road to be stopped
is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate in the Council Chambers, Childers Road, Gisborne, and is
open for inspection (without fee) during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the said public work or by the taking of such lands or by stopping of such road who have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the public work, or to the taking of the said lands, or the stopping of the said road, must
state their objection in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk
at the Council Chambers, Childers Road, Gisborne.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR HOUSING AND ROAD

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and The Public Works
Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute certain public works—namely, the construction of
workers' dwellings and the provision of land for future main highway
widening—and for the purposes of such public works the lands
described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken for
housing; and further, the lands described in the Second Schedule
hereto are required to be taken for the purposes of a road.

Notice is hereby further given that a copy of the S.O. plan
No. 33078 of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the
public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situated in Spring
Street, Tauranga, and is open for public inspection (without fee) by
all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works
or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objection
to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said
land must state their objections in writing, and send the same,
within forty days from the 4th day of June, 1946, being the date
of the first application of this notice, to the County Clerk at the
County Office, Spring Street, Tauranga.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing by admeasurement three acres
one rood thirty-nine decimal six perches (3 acres 1 rood 39·6 perches),
being part Allotments 8, 9, 10, Suburbs of Tauranga, situated in
Blocks X and XIV, Tauranga Survey District, shown on Survey
Office plan 33078, and thereon coloured yellow, edged yellow, and
situated in the County of Tauranga, Auckland Land District.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing by admeasurement twenty-seven
decimal five perches (27·5 perches), being part Allotments 8, 9, and
10, Suburbs of Tauranga, situated in Blocks X and XIV, Tauranga
Survey District, shown on Survey Office plan 33078, and thereon
coloured yellow, and situated in the County of Tauranga, Auckland
Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies
has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act,
1909, by writing under his hand dated this 7th day of June, 1946,
cancelled the registry of Kupe Lodge, No. 149, of the Independent
Order of Odd Fellows of New Zealand, Friendly Society (Register
No. 146/229), held at Wellington, on the ground that the said branch
has ceased to exist.
