Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I,
Sir Michael Myers, the Administrator of the Government of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land
described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay
County, containing by admeasurement 9,010 acres, more or less,
situated in Blocks VI, VII, X, XI, XIV, and XV, Ngaruroro Survey
District, being Lots 1 and 2 of Pastoral Run No. 12 and Crown
land, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by
Lot 1 on D.P. 4425 (Te Koau Block); towards the north-east by a
public road and Block 78 (E.R.), Maraekakaho Crown Grant Dis-
trict; towards the north-west by Block 78 aforesaid; again towards
the north-east by Block 63, Maraekakaho Crown Land District,
on Deeds Plan 481; towards the south-east by part of Block 64,
Maraekakaho Crown Grant District, on D.P. 2559, and by part of
Block 64, Maraekakaho Crown Grant District, on D.P. 2560; again
towards the north by Gull Stream; again towards the south-east
by parts of Block 61, as comprised in Certificates of Title, Volume 22,
folio 242, and Volume 90, folio 60 (Hawke’s Bay Registry); towards
the south by Block 79, Maraekakaho Crown Grant District, and
permanent State forest (Gazette, 1900, page 429); and towards the
west by the permanent State forest aforesaid: excepting therefrom
all public roads. As the same is more particularly delineated on
plan No. 73/2, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest
Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, and
issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of
June, 1946.

Proclaiming a Road-line laid out in Block VI, Tauakira Survey District, Wellington Land District, to be a Public Road

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by
orders of the Native Land Court made on the twelfth day of
January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and the
twenty-third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-four, respectively, duly laid out as a road-line in pursuance of
section forty-eight of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and
section four hundred and seventy-nine of the Native Land Act,
1931:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the
public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a
public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to
the Minister of Lands, in terms of section four hundred and eighty-
six of the Native Land Act, 1931:
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to
proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the
Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned,
in terms of subsection two of section four hundred and eighty-seven
of the Native Land Act, 1931:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should
be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Michael Myers, the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-
seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public
road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

Situated in Block VI, Tauakira Survey District (W.D. plan 4404.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 57223B, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
under No. 2937, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of
the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, and
issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of
June, 1946.

IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the seventh day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, the
Honourable Erina Harvey Northcroft, Judge, was appointed a mem-
ber of the Second Division of the Court of Appeal for the year one
thousand nine hundred and forty-six: And whereas it is expedient
for the purposes of the business of the said Division as on and
from the tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six,
to appoint another Judge as a member of the said Division in place
of the said the Honourable Erina Harvey Northcroft, Judge, at
present beyond the Dominion as a member of the International
Military Tribunal for the Far East, whose appointment as a member
of the said Division it is consequently necessary as on and from that
date to revoke:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Govern-
ment of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, and in
exercise of the authority conferred upon him by the Judicature
Amendment Act, 1913, and in pursuance of the recommendation of
the Right Honourable the Chief Justice, the Honourable Mr. Justice
Blair, and the Honourable Mr. Justice Smith, doth revoke as on and
from the tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six,
the said appointment of the Honourable Erina Harvey Northcroft,
Judge, as a member of the said Second Division of the Court of
Appeal, and doth appoint the Honourable Sir Archibald William
Blair, Kt., Judge, as on and from the said tenth day of June, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-six, to be a member of the said
Division in the place of the said the Honourable Erina Harvey
Northcroft, Judge.
