THE HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928
Notice is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hutt require to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes a public work- namely, a road.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said land is open for inspection by all persons at the following places:- The office of the Hutt County Clerk, Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington. Hughes, Post-office Store, Paraparaumu. The offices of Messrs. Brandon, Ward, Hislop, and Powles, Solicitors, 150 Featherston Street, Wellington.
All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such public work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at his office, Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Carterton, held on Friday, the 17th day of May, 1946, on the proposal to raise a loan of £9,000 (nine thousand pounds) for the purpose of erecting a new gasometer at the Carterton Municipal Gasworks, Belvedere Street, Carterton, the result of the voting was as follows:

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between ALBERT EDWIN IVIL and STANLEY FRANCIS HENDERSON, carrying on business as manufacturers, vendors, and distributors of a chemical manure known as "Ivil's Plant Food," at Johnsonville, under the style of "Ivil's Plant Food Co.," has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 14th day of March, 1946. To the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Alexandra. PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned, His Majesty the King, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose. Mark on pegs: K.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 26th April, 1946, at 4 p.m. Address for service: Care of Osborne Stevens and Stevens, Solicitors, Clyde. Dated at Clyde, this 9th day of May, 1946.

LOCALITY of the race, and of its starting and terminal points; also description of land traversed--e.g., unalienated Crown land, private land, or otherwise: Situate in Ida Valley, starting at a point five chains below the Bonanza Race on the hillside, two miles and a quarter south of the Bonanza Race Saddle, and terminating in applicant's former water-race held under License No. 267B. Length and intended course of race: Three miles north and south.
Points of intake: One. Estimated time and cost of construction: Already constructed. Mean depth and breadth: 6 in. by 2 ft. Number of heads to be diverted: 1½. Purpose for which water is to be used: Irrigation. Proposed term of license: Twenty-one years.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE
Opotiki No. 1 Loan, £320, 1945
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
