Authorizing the Acquisition of Land notwithstanding the Provisions as to Limitations of Area

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section forty-one of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1945, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by Thomas Borthwick and Sons (Australasia), Limited, a private company registered in England and having its head office for New Zealand at Masterton, of the land described in the Schedules hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924, and of section eighty-five of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

FIRST SCHEDULE

CROWN LAND

ALL that area containing 11 acres 2 roods 11 perches, being part of Tawhiti 1A 2 Block, and being all the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume 62, folio 8 (Gisborne Registry).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SETTLEMENT LAND

PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and acquisition by the Australian Forestry Bondholders Trust Company, Limited, of the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

The following parcels of land situated in the Auckland Land Registration District:—

(1) All the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 674, folio 206, containing 115 acres, more or less, and being the block called Whakamaru-Maungaiti M No. 3 No. 1A.

PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and acquisition by N.Z. Forests Products, Limited, of the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

The following parcels of land situated in the Auckland Land Registration District:—

(1) All the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 332, folio 185, containing 669 acres 2 roods 4 perches, more or less, being all the land on Deposited Plan 14739, and being part of the block called Waotu South No. 16A.

(2) All the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 357, folio 1, containing 199 acres 1 rood, more or less, being part of the block called Waotu South No. 16A.

(3) All the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 628, folio 101, containing 29,139 acres 2 roods 34 perches, more or less, being the block called Tahorakuri A No. 2 (portion of the said land being originally known as Tahorakuri Nos. 5B 5, 5B 6, 5E 3, and part of Tahorakuri Nos. 5A 4, 5B 4, 5C 6, and 5D Blocks).
