it cuts the north-eastern boundary of the scenic reserve constituted
in the New Zealand Gazette, 1911, page 1792; thence south-easterly
and then southerly and then westerly along the north-eastern,
eastern, and southern boundaries of that scenic reserve to Upper
Peak, being the north-western corner of Run 419; thence southerly
along the western boundary of the said Run 419 to the point where
it cuts the western boundary of Block 6, Upper Wakatipu Survey
District; thence southerly along the western boundaries of the
said Block 6 and Blocks 2, 3, and 13 of the said survey district to
the south-western corner of the latter block; thence by a right
line from the south-western corner of that block to Trig. R, Mount

Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary
Vacancy on the Gisborne Fire Board

Wellington, 7th May, 1946.
PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules there-
under, the Minister charged with the administration of the
said Act doth appoint Friday, the 31st day of May, 1946, to be
the date for holding the election of one member of the Gisborne
Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election
being held to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation
of Mr. W. E. McIlwaine.

Act, 1928

IN COUNCIL
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, I, Sir Michael Myers, the Administrator of
the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the
Gisborne Land District, described in the Schedule hereto, shall
be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and
declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act;
and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Hatea-arangi Park
Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public
domain.
SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods
4·6 perches, more or less, being part of Section 1, Block X, Tuatini
Native Township, Block VIII, Tokomaru Survey District, and
bounded as follows : On the east by Moana Street, bearing 173° 27',
454·9 links; on the south by Section 2, Block X, Tuatini Native
Township, bearing 90° 25', 565·7 links; on the west by other part
of Section I aforesaid, bearing 187° 16', 551·2 links; and on the
north by Rimuroa Street, bearing 103° 06', 454·3 links. As the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 6/3/143A, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been
duly set apart as a reserve for aerodrome purposes: And
whereas, in the opinion of the Administrator of the Government, it
is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and
Burgesses of the Borough of Westport and the Chairman, Councillors,
and Inhabitants of the County of Buller:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of
the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall
become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the
Borough of Westport and the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants
of the County of Buller, in trust, for aerodrome purposes.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT
SECTIONS 20, 32, and 39, Block II, Steeples Survey District:
Area, 47 acres and 9 perches, more or less.
Also Sections 40 and 41, Block II, Steeples Survey District:
