Appointment of Customs Aerodrome

I, ARNOLD HENRY NORDMEYER, Acting for the Minister of Customs, in exercise of the powers vested in me for this purpose by clause 3 of the Customs (Aircraft) Regulations 1935, do, by this Warrant, appoint as a Customs aerodrome that area known as Whenuapai Aerodrome, situated in Blocks VI and X of the Waitemata Survey District, and having boundary-lines described as follows:—

Commencing at the south-west corner of Lot 39, D.P. 11504, and continuing as follows: South-easterly along road boundary for distance 2½ chains; thence on bearing 23° 06′ for distance 914·4 links; thence bearing 105° 08′ 30″ for distance 149·7 links; thence bearing 128° 46′ for 1850·8 links to Karaka Road; thence south-westward along western boundary of Karaka Road and south-eastward along southern boundary of Punga Road; thence south-westward along eastern boundary of closed portion of Waimarie Road; thence south-eastward along northern boundaries of Sections 83 and 70, continuing across Kowhai Road, and along northern boundaries of Sections 69 and 56 to western boundary of Kauri Road; thence south-westward along the western boundary of Kauri Road and continuing in a general south-westerly direction along the western boundary of Kauri Road and its extension to its intersection with the southern boundary of Section Part 13; thence north-westward along southern boundary of Part 13 to the eastern boundary of Section 89; thence south-westerly along eastern boundaries of Sections 89, 90, 91, continuing across Rata Road, south-westerly along eastern boundaries of Sections 92, 93, 94; thence on a bearing of 237° 33′ 30″ for distance of 1887·4 links to the easternmost point of the northern boundary of the closed portion of Brigham’s Creek – Hobsonville Road; thence on a bearing of 193° 06′ to the northern boundary of the deviated portion of Hobsonville Main Highway; thence following in a general westerly direction along the northern boundary of this deviation to the westernmost corner of the northern boundary of the closed portion of Brigham’s Creek – Hobsonville Road; thence north-westward along public road boundary to the southernmost corner western boundary of closed road (Tawa Road); thence north-eastward along such road boundary for a distance of 1346 links; thence on a bearing of 283° 43′ for distance 820·8 links; thence on bearing 13° 17′ for distance 1010·6 links; thence on bearing 283° 09′ 30″ for distance 731·3 links; thence on bearing 13° 35′ 30″ for distance 1342·9 links; thence on bearing 103° 35′ 30″ for distance 639·5 links; thence on bearing 13° 35′ 30″ for distance 757·9 links; thence south-eastward along southern boundary of Allotment Part 7 on bearing 103° 37′ and distance 827·9 links; thence on a bearing of 13° 35′ 30″ to the point of commencement; and do likewise appoint the buildings known as New Air Movements Building and Freight Shed at northernmost corner of Hard Standing Area, together with all the said Hard Standing Area, to be the Examination Station at the said aerodrome.

Notification of Approval of Amended Rules, Marlborough Acclimatization Society

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 25 of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I hereby notify that copies of the amended rules made by the Marlborough Acclimatization Society on the 25th day of June, 1945, have been forwarded to me and were approved on the 24th day of April, 1946.

Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by Telegraph

IN pursuance of the powers vested in the Minister of Telegraphs by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed the said Act), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May, 1914, the following officers, at the addresses set against their names, are hereby appointed transmitting and receiving officers for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid:—

The Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, and its Amendments.—Fixing the Closing-hours of Fruiterers’ Shops within the Borough of Whakatane

WHEREAS a requisition in writing has been forwarded to the Minister of Labour from the occupiers of fruiterers’ shops within the Borough of Whakatane, pursuant to section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22:

And whereas he is satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops within the said borough:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said section 32, the Minister of Labour doth hereby direct that on and after the 13th day of May, 1946, all the said shops within the said borough shall be closed on the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 5.30 p.m., on Fridays at 9 p.m., and on Saturdays at 5 p.m.

The Greymouth Milk Delivery Notice, 1945, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Greymouth Milk Delivery Notice 1945, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Greymouth Milk Delivery Notice 1945† (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).

  2. Clause (7) of the principal scheme is hereby amended by—
    (1) Revoking the words “Baty Bros., Ltd., Coal Creek, Greymouth”, and the description of delivery “In zones numbered IX and XI marked on the plan, and to Harper’s Tea Rooms, Ltd., Mackay Street, Herb Moore’s Tea Rooms, Mackay Street, Kowhai Cake Shop, Mackay Street, and F. L. Bell, Tainui Street”;
    (2) Revoking the description of delivery against Riversdale Dairy Supplies, Ltd., Coal Creek, Greymouth, “In zone numbered VI marked on the plan, excluding those premises to which Baty Bros., Ltd., have the right to make delivery”;
    (3) Revoking the words “F. G. Frankpitt, Coal Creek, Greymouth”, and the description of delivery “In zone numbered VII marked on the plan”; and
    (4) Revoking the words “A. F. Fairhall, Marsden Road, Greymouth”, and the description of delivery “In zone numbered XII marked on the plan”;

and substituting against Riversdale Dairy Supplies Ltd., Coal Creek, Greymouth, the description of delivery “In zones numbered VI, VII, IX, XI, and XII marked on the plan”.

The Picton Milk Delivery Notice 1943, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Picton Milk Delivery Notice 1943, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Picton Milk Delivery Notice 1943† (hereinafter referred to as the principal scheme).

  2. Clause (6) of the principal scheme is hereby amended by inserting after the word “schools” the words “public hospitals”.

  3. Clause (7) of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words “McIsaac Bros., Dairymen, High Street, Picton”, and substituting the words “Davis, Esquire, Dairyman, Picton”.

PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Hamilton Milk Delivery Notice 1946, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Hamilton Milk Delivery Notice 1946† (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

  2. Clause (7) of the principal notice is hereby amended by revoking the words “D. Clarke, Dey Street, Hamilton East”, in relation to zone numbered 8, and by revoking the words “R. M. Smyth, corner of Mill and Willoughby Streets, Hamilton”, in relation to zone numbered 19, and substituting in each case the words “Smyth and Wilkins, Milk-vendors, P.O. Box 556, Hamilton”.
