CROWN LANDS NOTICES

Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 9th April, 1946.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 20th May, 1946.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 21st May, 1946, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position and farming experience.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, amount in reduction of weighting for improvements, and lease fee.


SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND
Whangarei County.—Mangakahia Survey District.—Wharekohe Block
SECTION 24, Block XVI: Area, 119 acres 2 roods 4 perches. Capital value, £240. Deposit on deferred payments, £40. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: twenty years), £8 6s. 2d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £6.

Weighted with £750 for improvements, comprising 77 chains of boundary-fencing, 100 chains of internal fencing, 81 acres cultivated and grassed, internal water reticulation, pipes, troughs, &c., and cow-shed. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £50, the balance may be repaid over a period of twenty years by half-yearly instalments of principal and interest amounting to £27 17s. 8d.

This section, which is part of the Wharekohe Block, is situated on the Kaikohe-Maungatapere Highway about thirteen miles from Whangarei, with metalled road access and bounded by the Wairua River, and about four miles from Titoki School and Post-office. About two-thirds of the area is in grass and balance in original state; the property is level to undulating, and fairly well watered. The section is all easy undulating clay gum land all ploughable and is suitable for dairying.

The land is subject to section 8 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1939, and the regulations thereto, as to the water-supply installed thereon.

Education Reserve in North Auckland Land District for Lease

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve is open for lease under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 20th May, 1946,

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 21st May, 1946, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

Auckland City.—Whau Town South.
ALLOTMENT 105: Area, 2 roods 35 perches. Annual rental, £3.

This section is situated on the corner of Armagh Road and Endeavour Street, Blockhouse Bay. It has a frontage to a tar-sealed road and, although slightly below road level, provides quite a good building-site. The section is situated about 20 chains from the shopping centre and bus stop.

Form of lease may be perused and any further particulars may be obtained at the office of the undersigned.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 9th April, 1946.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section in the Westport Colliery Reserve is open for lease under the provisions of the Westland and Nelson Coalfields Administration Amendment Act, 1926, and the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1944; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 12 o’clock noon on Monday, 6th May, 1946.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, on Wednesday, 8th May, 1946, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
