Appointments and Promotions in the Royal New Zealand Navy

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, promotions, and terminations of appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy:—
Surgeon Lieutenant (Acting Surgeon Lieutenant-Commander) Derek Henry Symes, M.B., Ch.B. (N.Z.), R.N.Z.N. (retired), appointment terminated, to date 16th December, 1945; reverted to Surgeon Lieutenant on the Retired List, to date 17th December, 1945.
Mr. Thomas Lewis Luckman, Temporary Warrant Stores Officer, promoted to the rank of Temporary Acting Commissioned Stores Officer and reappointed, to date 1st February, 1946.
Mr. John James Hinton, Temporary Warrant Cookery Officer, promoted to the rank of Temporary Acting Commissioned Cookery Officer and reappointed, to date 1st February, 1946.
ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVAL RESERVE
Temporary Sub-Lieutenant Valentine Wilson Were, promoted to the rank of Temporary Lieutenant and reappointed, to date 29th December, 1945.

Probationary Temporary Surgeon Lieutenant Robert Middleton De Lambert, confirmed in rank with original seniority of 11th June, 1945.
Temporary Sub-Lieutenant (S) Thomas Reginald Ryan, promoted to the rank of Temporary Lieutenant (S) and reappointed, to date 26th November, 1945.
