of the Leithen Burn to Clutha County hereinbefore described;
then southerly by the Clutha County boundary to the ocean;
then in a westerly direction generally by the ocean to the centre
of the mouth of the Waimatuku Stream; thence in a north-westerly
and south-easterly direction along the centre of the Waimatuku
Stream to a point in line with the centre of the new channel through
Sections 2A and 1A, Block XIX, New River Hundred, approximately
1750 links south-east from the westernmost corner of the aforesaid
Section 2A; thence to and along the centre of the said new channel
on a bearing of 352° 45′ to the centre of the said Waimatuku Stream;
then by the centre of the said Waimatuku Stream to a point in

commencement, excluding therefrom the City of Invercargill, the
boroughs of South Invercargill, Gore, Winton, Mataura, and Bluff,
and the town districts of Lumsden and Wyndham.

MACLENNAN RIDING, CLUTHA COUNTY

ALL that area in the Clutha County, commencing at Catlins Cone,
Trig. D, and bounded on the north-west by a straight line from
Trig. D, to Peg XLII, D.P. 3412, Southland Registry, on the south-
western boundary of Run 258; thence south-easterly by that
boundary to Run 129; thence southerly and easterly by the western
and southern boundaries of Run 129 to the Catlins River; thence
south-easterly by that River to Block III, Woodland Survey
District; thence southerly by the western boundaries of Blocks III
and VIII, Woodland Survey District, to Purakaunui Stream;
thence south-easterly by the centre of the said stream to the ocean;
thence south-westerly generally by the ocean to Clutha County
herein described; thence northerly generally by the Clutha County
boundary to Catlins Cone, Trig. D.

FIFTH SCHEDULE

TOETOE'S RIDING, SOUTHLAND COUNTY

TOETOE'S RIDING is bounded by a line commencing at the junction
of the middle of the mouth of the Mataura River and the ocean;
thence in a north-easterly direction generally by the centre of the
Mataura River to its junction with the centre of the Mimihaui
Stream; thence in an easterly and northerly direction generally by
the centre of the said Mimihaui stream to where it crosses a road
forming part of the southern boundary of Section 25 and Section
15, Block II, Slopedown Survey District; thence in an easterly
direction by the southern side of the said road to the westernmost
point of Section 3, Block VI, Slopedown Survey District; thence
in a south-easterly direction by the south-western boundary of the
said Section 3 to the boundary of Southland County herein described;
thence southerly generally by the Southland County boundary to
the ocean; thence in a westerly direction generally by the ocean
to the centre of the mouth of the Mataura River, the place of
commencement, save and except all that area in the Wyndham
Town district.

of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of March, 1946.

Altering Boundaries of Waikohu and Uawa Counties and including
Area in Tauwhareparae Riding, Uawa County

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on me by section fourteen of the Counties Act, 1920, and of
all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, Cyril
Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First
Schedule hereto, being now part of the Waikohu County, shall be
added to and form part of the Uawa County; that the boundaries
of the Waikohu and Uawa Counties as so altered shall be those set
forth under the respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto;
that the area added as aforesaid to the Uawa County shall be included
in the Tauwhareparae Riding of the said county; and that the
boundaries of the Tauwhareparae Riding as so altered shall be
those set forth in the Third Schedule hereto; and I also proclaim
and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect as on and from
the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM WAIKOHU COUNTY AND INCLUDED IN UAWA COUNTY

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, and bounded as
follows: Commencing at a point on the north-west boundary of
Small Grazing-run No. 42 at its intersection with the Makahakaha
Ngarara Stream; thence towards the north generally by the said
stream and Sections 4 and 3 and Puremungahua No. 1 Block,
Block VIII, Waingaromia Survey District; thence towards the
south-east by Small Grazing-run No. 42A; thence towards the
south-west by Lot 1 of Small Grazing-run No. 43A to a public road;
thence to the centre of said public road; thence towards the north-
west generally by the centre of aforesaid public road to its junction
with the Waiapu Inland Road; thence towards the south generally
by the centre of the Waiapu Inland Road to its intersection with
the production of the north-west boundary of Small Grazing-run
No. 42 at Trig. Station G VII; thence to the northern boundary
of the said Waiapu Inland Road at a point on the north-west boundary
of Small Grazing-run No. 42; thence towards the north-west by
Lots 1 and 2 (D.P. 1104), Waingaromia No. 2 Block, Blocks VII
and VIII, Waingaromia Survey District, to the point of commence-
ment.

and 1 of 24, Block II, Motu Survey District, to a point on the
southern boundary of Section 3, Block III, Urutawa East Survey
District; thence in a westerly direction generally by the southern
boundary of Section 3, Block III, Urutawa East Survey District,
to the right bank of the Pakihi Stream; thence by the right bank
of the said stream to a point in line with the northern boundary of
Section 4, Block III, Urutawa East Survey District; thence across
a road reserve to the northernmost corner of Section 4, Block III,
Urutawa East Survey District; thence in an easterly direction
generally by the northern boundary of Sections 4, 6, and 5, Block III,
Urutawa East Survey District, to a public road, and thence due
