The Onions (Transportation) Order 1946

PURSUANT to powers conferred on the Primary Industries Controller by the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939,* and duly delegated to me by the said controller pursuant to clause 5 of the said regulations, I, Ross Pappri11 Fraser, the Director of the Internal Marketing Division of the Marketing Department, do hereby order and direct as follows :—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Onions (Transportation) Order 1946, and shall come into force on the 18th day of March, 1946.

  2. While this Order remains in force no person shall, except with the permission of an officer of the Internal Marketing Division of the Marketing Department, consign any onions for carriage by rail from any station in the South Island north of Rakai and south of Sefton to any other station in the South Island, with the exception of Lyttelton.

  3. Unless sooner revoked or extended this Order shall continue in force until the 30th day of September, 1946.

Notice to Mariners No. 8 of 1946

Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 12th March, 1946:

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—AUCKLAND HARBOUR
Alterations in Buoyage and Lighting

Previous Notice No. 33 of 1945.

Position: Bean Rocks Lighthouse: Lat., 36° 50′ S., long.; 174° 50′ E. (approx.).

(1) The red buoy exhibiting an occulting white light every 4 seconds, eclipse 2 seconds in position 271°, 4,600 ft. from the lighthouse, has been moved to a position 276°, 4,200 ft. from the lighthouse. The buoy in its new position will mark the southern end of the northern piled fences until they have been removed.

(2) The black buoy exhibiting an occulting red light in position 255°, 4,350 ft. from the lighthouse, has been moved to a position 252°, 2,740 ft. from the lighthouse. The buoy will mark the northern end of the southern piled fences until they have been removed.

(3) The occulting green and white lights on the ends of the piled fences in position 277° 7·1 cables and 251° 4·4 cables from the lighthouse have been removed.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 29th April, 1946.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 30th April, 1946, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
