Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
Felt and Textiles of N.Z., Ltd., Wellington, has applied for an
extension of its existing license to permit the machining of uppers
at the Blenheim branch factory and clicking of uppers at the
Wanganui branch factory.
The Murray Shoe Co., Ltd., Auckland, has applied to acquire
by transfer from the Vita Shoe Co., Ltd., that portion of the license
permitting the manufacture of children’s footwear by the pre-welt
process.
Radio-manufacturing Industry
Prentice and Co., Ltd., Mountain View Road, Morningside,
Auckland, has applied for a license to manufacture radio receiving-
sets.
J. O’Hara, 5 Ewington Avenue, Mount Eden, Auckland has
applied for a license to manufacture radio receiving-sets.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
H. J. Davis, Palmerston North, has applied for a motor-spirits
retail license in respect of the Post-office Service-station, Princes
Street, Hawera.
Wakelin Engineering Co., Ltd., Hakiaha Street, Taumarunui,
has applied for permission to shift one pump from premises in
Miriam Street to a new site in Hakiaha Street, Taumarunui.
D. H. Pugh and J. J. Wilson, Central Motors, Empire Street,
Cambridge, have applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from
one pump installed at garage premises, Empire Street, Cambridge.
Mrs. B. M. Calder, Clifton, has applied for a license to resell
motor-spirit from one pump to be installed at store premises situated
at the corner of Bluff and Avon Roads, Clifton.
John McIntyre, Browns, Southland, has applied for a license
to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed inside premises
known as McIntyre’s Garage, Browns.
T. R. Gore, Ashhurst, has applied for a license to resell motor-
spirit from two pumps installed at garage premises at the corner of
Napier and Railway Roads, Ashhurst.
Hudson and Burnham, Ltd., Queen Street, Levin, has applied
for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed
inside garage and service-station premises situated at Queen Street,
Levin.
Waiuta Co-operative Society, Ltd., General Merchants, Main
Road, Waiuta, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from
one pump to be installed on the kerbside fronting store premises,
Main Road, Waiuta.
Monarch Motors, Ltd., 332 Heretaunga Street, Hastings, has
applied for permission to shift two pumps from their present
position inside the garage building to a new site outside a proposed
new building facing Queen Street East, Hastings.
Samuel Bishara, Ltd., Manunui, has applied for a license to sell
motor-spirit from three pumps to be installed at proposed service-
station premises at the junction of the main highway and the road
to Manunui Township.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than the 28th day of March,
1946, submit any written evidence and representations they may
desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the
Secretary, Bureau of Industry, P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and
authority vested in the Public Trustee by section 3 of the
Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, the Public Trustee
of the Dominion of New Zealand does hereby appoint Colin Alexander
Hendry, of the Public Trust Office, Wellington, to be deputy of the
District Public Trustee, Whangarei, during the absence of such
District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and
all previous Warrants appointing any deputy of the said District
Public Trustee have been revoked.
