The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 21st day of February, 1946, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 29th day of March, 1946, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement one thousand two hundred and thirty-five (1,235) acres two (2) roods thirty-six (36) perches, more or less, situated in Blocks V, VIII, and IX, Pigeon Bay Survey District, and being Rural Sections 6081x, 17491, 20927, 20928, 21071, 25609, 28139, 32613, 33484, 33513, and part Rural Sections 93, 977, 5533, 6081, 6095, 6096, 9840, 9840x, 15703, 15738, 17492, 20910, 21072, 21124, 25610, 33485, 33713, 33714, 34160, and 35075, part of the above-described land being more particularly described as Lots 2, 3, 7, and part Lot 1 on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch and numbered 1408, Lot 2 and part Lot 1 on plan deposited as aforesaid and numbered 1447, Lot 5 on plan deposited as aforesaid and numbered 4106, Lots 3 and 4 on plan deposited as aforesaid and numbered 5917, and Lots 3, 4, 5, and part Lots 1 and 2 on plan deposited as aforesaid and numbered 5918, together with the appurtenant easements recited in Transfer No. 132184 (Canterbury Registry), and being all the land contained in certificate of title Vol. 459, folio 230 (Canterbury Registry).

And also all that parcel of land situated in Blocks VI and X, Westerfield Survey District, containing one hundred (100) acres, more or less, being Rural Sections 36439 and 36440, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 304, folio 225 (Canterbury Registry).
And also all that parcel of land situated in Block X, Westerfield Survey District, containing ninety-nine (99) acres three (3) roods and thirty-eight (38) perches, more or less, being Rural Sections 36437 and 36438, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 312, folio 179 (Canterbury Registry).
