Land temporarily reserved in the Otago Land District for Public-utility Purposes

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the land in the Otago Land District, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for public-utility purposes.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in the Borough of Oamaru, containing by admeasurement 2·74 perches, more or less, being part Section 8, Block XCV, Town of Oamaru: Bounded towards the north by part Section 8, 155·13 links; towards the east by Section 9, 22·35 links; and towards the south by Section 10, 153·51 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 9/3434D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red (S.O.P. 9487).

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 11th day of March, 1946.

Appointing a Member of the Tauranga Harbour Board

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Harbours Act, 1923, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Florence Daniel Donovan

to be a member of the Tauranga Harbour Board, as a representative of the electors of the Maketu and Te Puke Ridings of the County of Tauranga and of the Te Puke Borough and of the Mount Maunganui Town District, in place of John Thomas Reid, resigned.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 5th day of March, 1946.

Trustees for the Porirua Cemetery appointed

PURSUANT to section four of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are set out in the First Schedule hereto to be trustees to have the maintenance and care of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being a cemetery, within the meaning of the said Act, known as the Porirua Cemetery, in the place and stead of all other persons so appointed and heretofore holding office, and I do hereby revoke the Warrant of the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, published in the Gazette on the twenty-ninth day of the same month at page 3367.
