Purposes in the Borough of Tauranga

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the additional land
described in the Schedule hereto for Post and Telegraph purposes:
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land required
to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tauranga and is there
open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking
of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing; and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this
notice; to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land required to be
taken : 32 perches.
Being Allotment 195 of Section 1 of the Town of Tauranga.
Situated in Block X, Tauranga Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 122547, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by

IN pursuance of the powers vested in the Minister of Telegraphs
by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed
"the said Act"), and by the regulations made on the 12th May,
1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May,
1914, the following officers, at the addresses set against their names,
are hereby appointed transmitting and receiving officers for the
purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the
said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation
to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be
signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid:—

Land vested in the Johnsonville Town Board declared to be a Public
Reserve

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 21st February, 1946.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed
by the Johnsonville Town Board pursuant to section 5 of
the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, on
the 16th day of August, 1945, due notice of intention to pass such
resolution having been given in terms of the said section and no
objection thereto received:—

"That, pursuant to section 5 (1) of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, the Johnsonville Town
Board hereby declares that parcel of land known as the Children's
Park, containing 1 acre 1 rood 17 perches, and being that parcel of
land described in certificate of title, Vol. 34, folio 224, as Lots 36,
42, 43, 44, and 45, D.P. 242, situated at the corner of Railway
Terrace and Dr. Taylor Terrace, Johnsonville, to be a public reserve
within the meaning of the aforementioned Act."

The land to which the foregoing resolution relates is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1140,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER

"That, pursuant to the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act,
1928, convolvulus be declared a noxious weed within the Borough
of Dannevirke."

Alteration of Boundaries of Kaingaroa Fire District

WHEREAS by a notice published in the Gazette on the 15th day
of November, 1945, at page 1419 (hereinafter referred to as
"the said notice"), a certain area in the Auckland Land District
was declared to be a fire district under section 27 of the Forests Act,
1921–22 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), and named the
Kaingaroa Fire District:

And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of the
Kaingaroa Fire District:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said Act, and on the
recommendation of the Director of Forestry and of the Land Board
of the Auckland Land District, I hereby revoke the said notice, in
so far as it relates to the Kaingaroa Fire District, and do declare
the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a fire district to be
known as the Kaingaroa-Rotorua Fire District; and, with respect
to the fire district constituted as aforesaid, I do further specify the
period from the 1st day of October in any year to the 15th day of
April in the following year, inclusive, as the period during which it
