Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XI, Christchurch Survey District, for Housing Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Christchurch and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
14 acres 3 roods 26 perches.
Being part Lot 8, D.P. 1069, being part Rural Sections 2168 and 2392.
Situated in Block XI, Christchurch Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7641.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 122631, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for the Massey Agricultural College: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Palmerston North and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.-Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades

Office of the Minister of Marketing, Wellington, 3rd December, 1945.
PURSUANT to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices of Preferred Commercial and Commercial Grades are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. per loose bushel.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st December to 31st December, 1945:-
Loose packed fresh lemons, Preferred Commercial Grade ... 7 6
Loose packed fresh lemons, Commercial Grade ... 6 0

Change of Name of Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area and Committee operating therein

THE Wellsford Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area and the committee at present operating under the name of the Wellsford Bobby Calf Pool Committee shall, from the date of this notice appearing in the Gazette, be known henceforth as the Albertland Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area and the Albertland Bobby Calf Pool Committee respectively.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Peninsula County-
That portion of the Dunedin-Highcliff via Tomahawk Main Highway No. 233, commencing at the eastern boundary of Dunedin City as now constituted, and terminating at the junction of the said main highway with Upper Glen Street, a distance of approximately 48 chains.
