Children’s Deferred Whole Life Assurances

Yearly premiums to secure £500 with profits payable at the death of the child should this occur after the first anniversary of the policy date following the child’s twenty-first birthday. In the event of the earlier death of the child, all premiums actually paid shall be refunded to the purchaser with compound interest at the rate of 3 per centum per annum. Policies will participate in profits from the first anniversary of the policy date following the child’s twenty-first birthday :—

Additional yearly premiums per £500 of assurance to be added to the premiums under Table J to secure the additional benefit that, in the event of the death of the purchaser before the first anniversary of the policy date following the child’s twenty-first birthday, no further premiums shall be payable until the aforesaid anniversary. The additional premium ceases to be payable on the aforesaid anniversary.

Yearly and single premiums in respect of assurances under the above tables for ages and for terms of policy intermediate between those respectively above specified shall be graduated progressively in accordance with the premiums set out above. A premium payable half-yearly shall be half the respective yearly premium increased by 2½ per centum. Yearly premiums may be made payable by monthly or four-weekly instalments, which shall be a proportionate part of the yearly premium increased by 2½ per centum.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend and supplement the regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown therein.

Setting apart Unalienated Crown Land for the Purposes of Part III of the Coal-mines Act, 1925

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection one of section one hundred and sixty-seven of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the unalienated Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part III of the said Act, and do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the gazetting hereof.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of unalienated Crown land in the Westland Land District, containing 1 acre, more or less, being Lots 110, 111, 112, and 113 on Deposited Plan No. 81, Town of Taylorville, situated in the Borough of Brunner. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked N. 6/6/68, deposited in the Head Office of the Mines Department at Wellington, and thereon in outline edged green.
