Consenting to the Raising of a Portion (£30,000) of a Loan of £100,000 by the Hutt Valley Electric-power Board and prescribing the Conditions thereof
C. L. N. NEWALL, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of December, 1945 Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL W HEREAS the Hutt Valley Electric-power Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”), being desirous of raising a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000), to be known as “No. 5 Loan, 1945” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s district, has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”): And whereas the said local authority is arranging to raise a portion of the said loan amounting to thirty thousand pounds (£30,000) (hereinafter called “the said sum”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should be given to the raising of the said sum : Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said sum for the said purpose up to the amount of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :-
(1) The term for which the said sum or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed twenty-five (25) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said sum or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said sum or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) The payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand, and no instalments shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
(5) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and pro-curation fees in respect of the raising of the said sum or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.
(6) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the additional land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for a public school. SCHEDULE APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken : 30 perches. Being Section 1173, Town of Hokitika. Situated in Block I, Kaniere Survey District (Borough of Hokitika) (Westland R.D.). (S.O. 1/34.) In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 122272, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

NEWALL, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of December, 1945 Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Mosgiel Borough Council. SCHEDULE APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road dealt with : A. R. P. Being
0 1 17·77 Road by Proclamation No. 5423 (formerly part Section 24); coloured blue.
0 0 11·14 Road by Proclamation No. 5423 (formerly part closed road); coloured orange. Situated in Irregular Block, East Taieri Survey District (Borough of Mosgiel) (Otago R.D.). (S.O. 9411.) In the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 121587, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was acquired. SCHEDULE APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 11-64 perches. Being Lot 2 and part Lot 1, D.P. 1036, being part Section 46, Block XXII, Town of Dunedin. Situated in the City of Dunedin (Otago R.D.). (S.O. 9385.) In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 119224, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
